I made sure to tell my doc how much pain I was in....and he made sure I had as much pain meds that I needed. Everyone has a different pain level tolerance.....Just make sure to tell them what you need. hope you feel better soon!
I wanted to get healthy and I felt with all of the complications and vitamins and supplements that are required to be taken after bypass that it just wasnt healthy. I also have a few friends that had the bypass and they lost the weight so fast that their skin was just hanging off of them and they really looked sick instead of thin. I am so glad I chose the sleeve!
This happens to everyone. I know it is hard to see past a stall, but it will happen. What is going on is you are losing fat, and your body is replacing it with water and the exercise is creating new muscle, which we all know weighs more than fat. You need to measure your body with a tape measure and record that...I am willing to bet that although the scale isnt moving.....the inches are still coming off. Keep your spirits up.....it will start to move again!
If you feel up to light exercise right now then you should do what you can handle. As far as gaining weight, I doubt that you would be able to consume enough to gain anything right now. good luck! and congrats on your sleeve!
I hope so, i'm not sure....the weight has been coming off alot slower now the smaller i get. I also have to work alot harder at it too. I find that even though I am losing slower people notice a lot more of what I lose now.
dont worry ladies, there are several beni's to losing slowly. skin has a chance to shrink, your hair doesnt fall out, and it isnt as much of a shock to your system. you will get there, just be patient. good luck!
I had surgery the same time as you, and I havent lost that much.....sounds like you are doing great! good job...keep it up. btw, we have the same goal of 150.
Very important to know everything that can happen.....also know that it is very uncommen in the sleeve. I have never had this happen to me. I dont ever watch carbs or sugar. The thing that would be good to try if you are having this is to make sure to avoid the foods that cause it for you.....and slowly add them back in.... if you try something and it causes the symptoms, dont have it for a while, then try again at a later date. your stomach is like a baby's right after surgery, gotta take it slow. good luck to all!
you can look at my before and afters and see how solid my belly was before surgery and now how dimpled it is after. it has gotten better with exercise though. I have noticed one improvement with my skin.... I used to have little pimple like dots all over my arms and legs.....those are completly gone now, and my skin feels so smooth and soft. I love that.
I never thought I would get here! I have been right above 200 pounds for the past 3 months. I thought that the scale was mocking me! But I got on the scale today and what did it say??? thats right! 198.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant believe that I finally got a one before my weight! The only thing that would be better then this is getting to goal! For those of you still hovering over that onederland stage, just keep your chin up, you will get there soon!
you arent losing it. i find it weird looking back at my reflection as well. it is like a stranger. it has taken me by surprize that the new person is not the old skinny person I used to be, but an old version of her. i think i was expecting to see the old me again, and i am finally realizing that person is gone. good luck!
I am 35 and have 3 children. I decided to have the surgery when I was sitting in an insurance agents office buying life insurance for myself incase I died from being overweight. I realized that I want to be around for my children when they walk down the isle or have their own children. This surgery has helped me so much. My advise to you is, if you want to be there for your children, and be able to run after them, have energy to play with them...and everything else we as mothers imagine.....get the surgery. I only wished I did it sooner
sounds wonderful! I am seven months out as well. I know what you mean about feeling completely different. While I havent gotten to my personal goal of 150, I reached my surgeons goal for me of 200 pounds, and passed that just yesterday! horay! I hope to be where you are at soon of worrying about losing to much weight ...haha
