Anyone Had Dumping Syndrome?
Sassygirl06 replied to getnsknyntx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had this happen one time since surgery. I ate some sugar, to much! I felt very week, got clammy, and thought I was going to pass out! The only thing that made me feel better was getting in some protein, after that I was fine. Never want to do that again though! -
I couldn't get much down either. You will be fine. It gets better every day. Just make sure to get the fluids in first, however you can.

Sassygirl06 replied to MrsM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At first it was depressing for me to cook for them, and watch them eat what I couldn't, but now that I am more then a year post op I enjoy it again....of course now I can enjoy the same things as them, just not as much. -
Need Advice From Post Op Sleevers
Sassygirl06 replied to Lollyx3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is different in their recovery process. That being said, I felt no pain after four days...and was able to resume my normal activities....but I was very tired for the first month or so. Just don't overdo it, listen to your body....it will tell you when you need to take it easy. -
Has Anyone Experienced Memory Loss?
Sassygirl06 replied to joe_cltnc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, yes, yes! I thought I was losing my mind, or in early stage Alzheimer's! I have to right everything down now on a calendar so I don't forget. It has gotten better, but still not as good as I was pre surgery. Still, I love my sleeve and am happy I did this for me! -
Bad Bad Girl...
Sassygirl06 replied to michelleooo513's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find that I can eat anything that I want, but I have defiantly slowed down in weight loss. I just broke a three month stall and lost nine pounds this month so I am thrilled! You can have anything you want, but just don't go overboard. -

Nightline "weigh Less Drink More"
Sassygirl06 replied to KristieAtkinson's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I did have my first drink within this time period. Didn't have any problems, but it did affect me faster. I have been drinking to much lately and have decided to stop before it becomes a problem. I haven't lost any weight since June, and I believe it is because I have been drinking those empty calories. I would stay away from it if I were you! -
Is It Normally To Be In A Bad Moid On Day 9 Of Pre Op Diet
Sassygirl06 replied to stalissa01's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
yes this is totally normal. I wanted to strangle anyone who even mentioned food. you will get through it...and so will your family. -
yes, mine went from being an irregular 33-40 day sometime more cycle....to being on the day 28 day cycle. I do seem to have a heavier period in the beggining of the cycle then before, but the length is the same. hope it gets better for you...probably all of the hormones that have been stored in your fat for all this time that is finally being released and reaking havoc with your body.....I'm sure it will get better!

my hospital and doctor was 2.5 hours away...I wanted the surgery, that is where my insurance said I would be covered...that is where I went, nuff said you want it honey, then travel
-
you should still get it....you said you called one of the hospital, try the other one. the testing they might be talking about is the blood work, ecg, and the pre op testing that the hospital does right before your surgery. I would go down to the hospitals in person with all of your paperwork that you have. this is important, and people are more willing to help you when you are right there in their face vs over the phone. dont take no for an answer!

Donating Blood After Weight Loss Surgery
Sassygirl06 replied to COsleeveDude's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have donated twice since surgery. they test your blood before you donate to make sure you arent anemic. I havent had any problems with it...except for the fact that I needed to chill for a while after I donated the big one (2-pinter) once. I wont donate that much at once again, I will stick to the little one pint instead -

51 And Conflicted Between The Band And The Sleeve- Your Thoughts Wanted!
Sassygirl06 replied to buplee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
as for the reflux, I used to get it everyday before the sleeve, since I had it I havent gotten reflux but 2 times....and the major thing that detracts from the reflux is that the pumps that create the acid in the stomach are almost all removed, so you have alot less acid preduced. I am soooo happy that I got this sleeve! -
51 And Conflicted Between The Band And The Sleeve- Your Thoughts Wanted!
Sassygirl06 replied to buplee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I changed to the sleeve because of all the complications that there is with the band, as well as the fact that you have to keep going in to have it filled and adjusted....I wanted to just go it, have it done and over with...alot of people decided on the band because it is reversable...well I dont want my weight loss to be reversable....I want it permenent....lol good luck! -
I am so sorry I want to cry for you. I hope things turn around for you... all I can say is to save up the money as best as you can, mabye finance the rest. this surgery can change your life! ((hugs))
-
if you cant get anything else down then I would say go for it. I loved the crystal light water flavors they have. I dont do anything but splenda and regular sugar or honey now. you will be fine!
