Don't get crazy with the scale and for me, I got 6 scars on my belly which I refuse to even consider burning or else. My reminder to be healthy and sexyyy

I had my surgery on sept, 2011. No pain at all but hey I wanted to see what was all the hype about morphine so I ask for some... Lol. I took 5 days off from work, no issue at all besides the vomiting coz I am a fast eater so it takes quite a while for me to slow down. I am at goal and look so sexy in my size 6 now. And no loose skin thx Lord, my stretch marks well I can deal. Good luck on your journey!

Any Boston, Ma Gastric Sleevers Out There?
nadoue replied to Tarada9's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
hi y'all i am nadoue, from the brockton area. i was sleeved on sept, 2011 and yes i am at my goal, lost a total of 66lbs and still losing but i like being a size 8-6 depending on fabric. i usually do not comment because for some reason, i can pinpoint a lot of issues that i only read or hear from others sleevers. my surgery was easy, i got 6 little scars on my belly ( i am black so we tend to have scars) i took two days of from works, no pain at all, i didnt have no issues at all except that i was craving chewing for the first two weeks. i had my surgery at St elizabeth hospital in brigthon. my surgeon actually did advise to have the sleeve instead of the band. thank God for that. i eat everything but in small portion. i am not a gym rat nor control carb, calories or whatever i see a bunch of us are obssessed with. i see the sleeve as a tool, without it i wouldnt lost wt, it is there to help so i am not going to kill myself over a few ups and downs. my skin look normal except for my inner thigh a little saggy but you wouldnt know that if i dont point it out and yeah, i love being a slow losers, i am not going to need cosmetic surgery for some time. my greatest advice to any of you is: stop comparing yourself to others and stop being the OCD over the scale. -
Slow is good, it gives your body a chance to catch you and your skin to snap back. I lost 60 lbs over nine months and all I got is my stretch mark being more shiny. Be happy that y'all are slow losers.

Hi y'all , I am nadoue, was sleeved on sept 14,2011. So far, my sleeve is a miracle, lost a total of 60 lbs, size 8 but I can fit in smaller one if I chose to. I am Haitian no need to tell you how concern I was so did my doc. However, my blender become my best friend and even my health care team is amazed. I wear my hear natural, no hair loss truly, I used all organic product on them, lean body protein to make sure that I have enough daily, it's 30 g each pack, lots of fluid and yeah, I drink lots of lemonade. Don't ask me why the lemonade, just craving. If you are on birth control, ask for the lowest dose coz you won't gain a lot of wt. I am still losing but I am just trying not to. Hope this help!
