I will have the lap band as of Jan. 2012 two years.  I doesn't work like I thought it would. Everything they tell me can be done without the band.  I wanted the band to stop me from over eating. It didnt and the only thing it did was make me vomit from dry food. I'm still at the same weight and even had the solution taken out. I still cannot eat certain food. I honestly think its a money making business. If we all just did the excercise and eat the right foods all the time we would not need these surgeries. Idid follow all directions, but of course I'm not good all the time. But not to loose even 30 pounds, and now have this band and the port for the solution stuck in me for life bothers me.
