    anyone doing presurgery diet Thanksgiving?

Thankfully being from Canada Thanksgiving dinner happened a few weeks ago but I'm sure it's still sitting on my hips I am actually happy about having surgery Dec1st. I am so done with stuffing my face, and having this done before Christmas I am not adding more pounds to sit on my hips and not having to deal with a Christmas hangover come January. I am pumped about how great a year 2012 is going to be. Summer is going to be a whole different ballgame, I can't wait!! I have moved away from all my family and friends and won't see them until August, I can't wait to shock them with the newer me. Don't get to caught up on what you're missing out on- focus on the gift you're giving yourself, imagine how wonderful you're going to look in 6 months, in a year, as an old lady with her health. Keep that image fresh in your mind to get your through the rough spots. Be kind to yourself in other ways, a new hair cut, a new lipgloss, keep coming to this forum, read the positive stuff. There are some truly inspiring people and stories on here. Maybe someday it'll be you inspiring someone like us newbies!!
  5. Hi there, I noticed in your profile you say you have yet to apply for insurance coverage. Is this something we could perhaps do in Canada? It would be amazing if some of it could be covered.

  6. I'm actually new to Guelph ON from Calgary, I'm going to Toronto for my slimband on Dec 1st

  7. Hey there I just moved from Calgary 6 weeks ago. I am scheduled for surgery on Dec1st. Best of luck on your surgery! Teresa

  8. Hey I was a bus driver too for special needs kids! I'm up in Canada scheduled for surgery Dec 1st, I wish you all the best! Teresa

  9. Hey Breeze, would love to share this journey with you, I'm 43 a mom of 4 great kids aged 7-19, I finally had it once and for all--my surgery is slated for Dec 1st, I'm a little nervous but very excited to get on with my mulligan in life.
  10. Hi there, my surgery is Dec 1st, and I'm just a little nervous...YIKES, but I'm so done with this lifestyle. I just joined this forum today. I am not telling a lot of people about my surgery and I just moved from one side of Canada to the other so I know no one in which to confide my fears and excitement about my re invention of myself. This is proving to be a wonderful place to find others going through my exact same emotions, I do not feel so alone reading of others experiences. There are also some truly inspiring role models out there
  11. You know I just read your post from yesterday. You truly are an inspiration, congratulations on finding your inner determination and strength. My slimband surgery is scheduled for Dec 1st and it's wonderful to hear about your "two cents" your words are priceless inspirations.

    Concerns/worries/the future/vent

I too am a coke addict, a diet coke addict, it's the one thing I have the hardest time giving up. My surgery is Dec 1st, I am slowly weening off the diet coke and should be off it completely and forever by weeks end. As ridiculous as it sounds, you're not the only one. It's crazy how much we let food or drinks prevent us from becoming so much more. But no more!!

    December Bandsters!

My surgery is Dec 1, 2011 through Slimband. I'm trying to not get too caught up on the negative things I read on the web because honestly they freak me out. I'm trying to concentrate on remembering what it felt like not to wear this fat suit everyday. Can't wait to feel alive and confident again.

    December Bandsters!

Hi there, My slimband surgery is scheduled for Dec 1, 2011. I am nervous, not so much about the surgery but the after part. The stories are scary I will admit they have me a little freaked out. I'm trying to focus on the positive things I read about which tend to out weigh the odd negative ones. After failing at everything for the past 16 years I'm praying this decision takes me to that place of self love and the land of self confidence.
