I am being banded in February. I am always on Facebook. My name is Amanda Hillson (Towne). There is a pictrue of my kids hugging as my profile pic.

I just wanted to share with my Pre-Op friends that I have my consultation tomorrow afternoon. I am actually so nervous and excited that I am kinda shaky. I wasn't even this nervous before giving birth to my children! I just want this so bad, and the unknown of what to expect is killing me. I have been reading everyone's posts over the past few weeks, and I hope I can come on here tomorrow night and add a surgeon, and what my next steps are. So I am going to bed (I hope I can sleep!), and will wake up tomorrow hoping it is the first day of the rest of my life! Good Night!

I am getting a lapband!!!!! So excited! It couldn't have gone better! I already have my tests set up, and I meet with the Surgeon on 12/1/11 to set my date!!! YAY!

I got to skip the information group session because my PCP referred me to them. This appointment is for me to meet with a NP, Dietician, Psychologist and the Surgeon!!! This is the first appointment in my journey! They decided after this appointment if I am "worthy" enough for the appointment! AHHH!!!! I am so glad I found a buddy that will be going through the same appointments!!! Amanda

I am definitely in the same boat!! My consultation in scheduled for Thursday! I am so nervous! It is a 4 hour appointment. The woman told me I may be able to set up my appointment the same day as well. However, after reading some posts, I am nervous it won't be that easy. Maybe we can be band journey buddies, since we are so close with our dates!!! Amanda

I just joined last night. I have my first consult on November 3. I am very nervous. The appointment is 4 hours long! I am meeting with a Nurse Practionier, Psychologist, Dietician and the Surgeon. They said they would be able to tell me after my appointment if they felt comfortable banding me. My questions are...then what? Do I have to go through a bunch of other appointments? Do I just schedule the surgery? I am very lucky that my insurance is covering 100% of all pre and post op appointments plus the surgery. How long do you stay in the hospital? How fast do you loose weight? I am so glad that I found this website, and I hope soon that I have a date to add to the forums, and I am excited to have support along the way! I looking forward to talking with you! Amanda
