I am scheduled for February 13!!!! I am so ready! I have been waiting for this strand to start!!! YAY!

Good Morning, The past few days I have been feeling very bad about myself. I feel like I am eating like I am preparing for the winter. Half of the time I don't even want what I am eating, but my head is saying "Why not?" Today when I put pants on that have always been too big, they were kinda tight. I almost died. What is my problem? My surgeon told me not to pre-op diet until 2 weeks prior, but I doubt he wanted me to pre-op gain! I just feel so gross. I am dying for January 30, so I can start the pre-op diet and be almost there! I know I will hate it once its here, but I feel like I am in such a weird spot right now. I was told not diet, but I want to. So weird. I am just rambling, and I would be surprised if anyone knows what I am talking about! <sigh>

I am all done! I just have to anxiously wait for 2/13/12!! So excited!

That is what I am hoping for! January is pretty busy, so between pre-op appointments, eating behavior classes, my graduation, and the two week pre-op diet, It should go pretty quick! Yay!

Wait so long for what? Surgery? It was the first surgery date open, and I wanted to wait for February vacation (even though I didn't get it). It is only 8 weeks away!

I feel like I am always waiting for something, that is hindering my excitement! First it was the consult, then admit to the program, then the surgeon appointment, then the surgery date, now waiting for insurance. I called them today and the said that it finally was entered and was pending. They said a decision will be made on Monday! So anxious! My doctor and the whole staff at the hospital told me they aren't concerned at all, but I need them to say I am approved so I can 100% excited for my surgery! I want all the t's crossed and i's dotted so I can impatiently wait for 2/13/12 without any worries! I have to admit, I love all the suspense!

I keep having questions about BCBS of Massachusetts, or if people are having the surgery done where I am, but I never see anything. Anyone from MA? Anyone?

I am having surgery at Lahey Clinic. So did you have a hard time getting approved?

I have been on LapBandTalk for about a month or so. I am having surgery on 2/13/12. I would love to chat with people from Massachusetts, especially people who may have had my surgeon!! I look forward to meeting you!

The scheduler called me today and told me that I am scheduled for February 13, 2012!!!

My surgeon wanted me to get the sleeve, but my insurance won't cover it because it is too new with not a lot of research. Which is fine by me. My surgeon told me that even though I have 100+ pounds to loose, the band can do that for me. So I am happy with that!

I am meeting with my surgeon for my first time tomorrow! We will be talking dates and pre-op planning! I am so excited! I am also kinda nervous that he will be kinda douchey like some doctors can be! HAHAHA...I just want him to be positive and listen ya know?? AHHH so excited!

When I was in junior high, my mother was always dieting. I am the youngest of 4, and once I hit 6th grade, everyone left home but me. So every January 1, we started a diet. I remember we had a bet. Whoever lost 20lbs first got a new outfit. I never reached that. When I was in high school, I never really thought of myself as heavy. I was, but I never weighed myself, and I was tall, so it was hidden well. When I went to college, a bunch of my friends and I were having college fun, and got on the scale to see who could guess how much we all weighed. I got guesses like 150, 161, even a 149. Then I got on the scale 212!! No one believed it. However, I left that night with it burned in my mind. I am 212. However, I never got below 212, just kept creeping up. The lowest I have ever been was 239 after my son was born. Now I am 270. I am defintely a fast food junkie, and always made excuses that I am tall so I am can gain a little more. My surgeon even said I hide my weight well. That goodness for tall genes!!!!

I want to shop at PINK! I am 29, and spent my 20's dreaming of fitting in those clothes. I am hoping when I turn 30 on June 10, 2012, I will go purchase myself some Pink clothes, that I will wear proudly at my house!!!

It went really well. He was awesome! I am kinda a sarcastic jokester, and he was too so it was perfect! He told me all the pro's and con's, and asked if I wanted the sleeve (insurance won't cover it, so thats a no). Then he told me to schedule my surgery! He told me he was extremely confident that I would be at my goal weight within a year if I stay motivated with my diet and exercise. He thought it was funny that my children (3 & 5), exercise with me. They even keep me on track when I don't want to do it! He told me I should have my surgery now, and not wait until February, so I was all on board, but when I called the surgery scheduler, she said that he doesnt know how scheduling works, and she jokingly said that he just shows up, and doesn't know how it works behind the scenes! So February it is. Once my insurance gets accepted they are going to call me to schedule!!! YAY!
