  1. 7 weeks post op and I haven't had to crush my mess for probably 3 weeks or so. I took mine tonight and I swear something is stuck. I am hurting! It's a stuck, painful kind of burning. It hurts from my stomach all the way up epecially behind my breast bone. I've tried more Water, yogurt, burping with diet coke, and my husband tried to sort of heimlich it out of me to no avail. I tried throwing up and I can't. What do I do? I've had no problems thus far. Is this even possible? Do I need to go to the ER?
  2. I'm still definitely hungry but it is better. I have found that I need more than 70g (what my surgeon recommends as the minimum) in order to feel like I'm not going to claw someone's face off due to hunger. Lately I've had a Protein shake for Breakfast, a bit of meat and a 1/3ish of a banana for lunch, a slice of low fat cheese and some turkey pepperoni for an early afternoon snack, and then protein and veggies for dinner. When I get closer to 100g of protein I feel so much better.
  3. My Dr. said no caffeine and no alcohol for 3 months and no carbonated beverages ever. I made it to 4 weeks post op before I started drinking half caffeinated coffee. Since I'm almost 5 weeks post-op, I went through the holidays freshly sleeved. I would have killed for a glass of wine but oh well. I don't drink soda but I do like beer with pizza and Mexican food. Bummed about that one.
  4. I will try anything!
  5. Please, please, please tell me this is going to go away. I could just cry. I am hungry for most of the day and eventually ramping up to starving. I eat until my sleeve feels full/uncomfortable but I'm still hungry. I eat a lot of protein and I drink a lot of fluids. I would have loved for my hunger to go away completely but even if it lessened significantly I would be thrilled. Right now I'm just as hungry as I was pre-op and I can't eat enough to make it go away. Anybody have any insight?

    I'm on my way!

Hi everyone! Thank you for having such a great and informative site. I started my journey to get sleeved by attending an info seminar on Sept. 25. I was able to schedule all of my required appts. quickly by taking cancelations. I feel like I've been to the doctor a zillion times lately! I went for 1 appt. on Sept. 29, 3 on Oct. 10 , 1 on Oct. 17, 1 on Oct. 19, submitted paperwork in between and had a whole bunch of records sent. I still have some more appts. to go but I found out on Wednesday, Oct. 19 that my sleeve surgery had been approved on Monday, Oct. 10! Woo! I am scheduled for Dec. 5. I'm scared and excited. I have 2 beautiful kids, 6 and 2, and a husband. I'm 5'7" and weight 310 lbs.
