You're off to a great start. Thanks for joining in.

I have enough saggy belly that I'm getting a TT at the end of this month. Still....it hasn't stopped me. Yes I can't wait for it to not be there, but after losing the weight I feel so much better and much "capable"...I just think the saggy skin doesn't look half as bad as rolls of fat, which is what I had before.

Fiddle, do you think the amount of energy squares you ate that day is what set off your binge? I love those squares and they are an all natural carb snack that taste like a nice treat, but by my math 12 of them is 5.5 servings which is 44 grams of sugar ......which is the same as a KING SIZE snickers bar. That's alot of sugar for someone who hasn't been eating much sugar in the past year. I think given your low sugar diet that much could easily set off a binge. It would definitely set me off.

I just googled "songs with 180bpm" and I got several lists including this one.... http://running.about.com/od/musicforrunning/a/Running-Songs-At-180-Bpm.htm But now the cadence is automatic with me so I can listen to anything I enjoy, but in the beginning having that music to run with was a great help. My feet would run with the music no matter the song. -
Wow.... So glad so many of you are joining in. Thanks to all of y'all. I must admit that part of my reason for doing this is the challenge, but it's also part dread that after surgery I won't be able to run for quite a while. I'm already feeling the angst of that. Running is definitely my cross over addiction. How sick is that? I ran 5 miles on the trail this morning to get up to 22.8 after 4 days. The next 3 days will be kinda light for me due to work but come Friday I can kick it into high gear. This Saturday will be another 10K race in Temple, TX. And I have at least 1 more planned later this month.

Why do you put quotes around offensive? Is it in doubt?

No...it's an "energy square" from nuts.com

Maybe so but you'll be hot and sexy right up until the day you ride your bike into one of those redwood trees.

Some of my most memorable rides ended up with blood and even stitches. One time I rode 10 miles home with my wife's shirt wrapped around my bloody knee while she rode in her sports bra. You don't forget those rides.

Those are the best kind of miles.....the kind you have to earn.

Ouch.....girl when I said jump head first into fitness that's not what I meant. LOL Proud of you for those miles Laura.

Actually....the provocation to binge after eating particular types of food can very much be a caused by a biological chemical reaction (blood sugar/insulin) and not just because someone has mental issues. It can be one or the other or a combination of the 2.

Oh...status update. Day 3....17.8 miles total after this mornings 10K.
