Latest update. 10 days post op....had a fever for a couple of days but feel much better now. Even ventured out into the world today for a while. Finally beginning to almost stand up straight as well. Not much pain at all unless I try to move too much. One drain left and it's not putting out much at all. Unfortunately my next appointment isn't until next Wednesday so I'll have it in till then unless another cat bites it. -
Shur-du.....y'all.

Missus Butter ran 5 miles this morning. Then promptly went back to bed. Total so far 31.6 miles. She's says she's got a plan to hit the 100 miles on the last day of the month. Typical of her....putting everything off till the last minute. Shhhhhhh......don't tell her I said that.

You guys are doing great. And making me so jealous. I'm living vicariously through you all cause at the moment I'm still ambling around pretty gingerly. Keep it up.

I'd be careful with that invite.....Laura offered to give my wife a sponge bath on another thread just this morning. She does not know when to say when. Apparently she's traded one addiction for another. Hey.....wait that sounds like a new sub forum just waiting to happen. -

I was thinking the same thing. I can see him at the golf course telling the other doctors....."and then he actually said the f**king cat bit a hole in the drain tube...LOL....talk about desperate to get rid of a drain" -

Tummy tuck today!

Just got back from his office this morning. I actually had another hiccup. Came down with a fever Monday night and it persisted all day yesterday. Felt very "flu-like" and honestly I just wanted to die. But the fever broke last night and I'm feeling much better. The doc removed another drain this morning so there's just 1 left. He also put me in a smaller binder which is slightly better, and ok'd me to take a shower. He gave me a real hard time about the cat biting the drain tube. He has yet to find a colleague who's ever heard of that happening. -

I had to pay. Insurance would have covered the cost of a panniculectomy if I had complications due to the skin. But man it was worth it.
