So......I know there's alot of ladies on this thread. Do you all want to see Catching Fire as badly as my wife does? She seems obsessed.
-

So What Exactly Is "normal Eating?"
Butterthebean replied to NMJG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I also want to add.....normal to me is being able to walk up a flight of stairs without seeing the faces of dead relatives. Not eating pizza whenever I want. -
Well it goes in as peanut butter.....it comes out as staples.

So What Exactly Is "normal Eating?"
Butterthebean replied to NMJG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh I love this topic. First of all, the above quote is not only not normal, it's not healthy. I know a couple of people who are thin and eat loads of crap everyday. And they're on blood pressure medication, they feel like crap, they're always sick and so on. And how many people do we all know that ate with no regard for their weight...and it finally caught up with them suddenly later in life? It's time we woke up and recognized that thin does not equate to healthy. Just because one can manage to eat such and such and loose a few pounds does not mean that person is getting healthier or prolonging his/her life. And we are not normal. Are bodies are not normal....all of us have bodies that really like to hold onto fat. Our brains are not normal. Are eating habits are not normal. What makes any of us think we know what normal eating is? We certainly never lived it? I think the problem is whenever I read someone say they want to be normal....it almost translates into "I want to pay no regard to what I eat and let the sleeve do the work." Believe me...I wanted that too. It doesn't work that way. I'm speaking generally of course. Don't flame me. -

Two weeks from Plastics - progress so far

Oh I bet you're happy to be released. I found it wasn't as bad as I anticipated....the loss of fitness. -
I don't go back to work till December 6. So no. As for mayo and peanut butter....that's how I fight my craving for donuts....I imagine them covered in mayo.
-
But at least it balances out the food porn.
-
You just made me gag.
-
I just had my BF% measured this morning. My BMI is still around 28-29 I think but my BF is 21. So BMI can suck it.
-
Well if we can't talk about food porn let's talk about something that really matters.....staples.

Am I the only one that ate peanut butter and honey sandwiches daily?

Lol. You must know my FIL then. Fundamentalist southern baptist preacher AND a politician. Every time I step foot in his house I feel like I just traveled back in time 75 years. My only clue that's it's all real is Fox News playing on a continuous 24 hour loop on the tv. The only other show he gets is gunsmoke.
-
My FIL preaches in Montgomery but they live in a tiny tiny berg called Atlanta near Winfield. Population 133 and he was the mayor for 33 years.
-
Well that is awesome. Had I known I could have sent him all my transition clothes that I bought and then got too small for.
-
My wife's people live up north of Alexandria where the churches and fried turkeys run rampant and sensibility has been outlawed. My tiny martial victory is that I don't have to go there for both thanksgiving and Xmas. I'd rather go turkey day and stay home Xmas but I get outvoted on that every year. But either way I get gumbo.

That's great motivation. I don't have kids but my family has a history of dying young. My wife's family has a history of living way too long. I'm hoping to change my family history a bit and stick around long enough that by the time I die she's too old to spend my money on a younger man. On another note that's the best Luke Skywalker costume I've seen in a long time.

Yep....I knew I dated one for a while. You just described her perfectly.

Fucked off.

Love it. Running in the cold is the one thing I love doing in the dead of winter. Getting out the door is the hardest part. But it's amazing how much body heat you produce. Then it's just a matter of learning to dress for the appropriate temp. I'm still figuring it out....trying to anticipate how warm I'm going to get a mile down the road. For me the biggest factor is good gloves. I can have sweat rolling off my forehead and my fingers are still like ice. My wife is the opposite...her hands stay comfortable even without gloves but she needs a ski mask if it gets below 50.
