15 Week Update With Pics
Butterthebean replied to Ashleyp24's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Looking good. -
Finished out the month with a 9.5 mile run today. Oh my aching glutes. So my mileage for the month was 87.2. I'm happy with that considering I'm 2 months post op today. I'm going to up my mileage goal of December to at least 120 plus add in a swimming goal as I'm trying to swim 3 times a week in preparation to do a triathlon next summer. I'll wait till later in the day to stay the December thread in case anyone has any suggestions they want to make. Or if someone else really really wants to start the thread, speak up. It doesn't matter to me who does it.

This.....still seeing alot of this.

I'm up between Dayton and Cleveland. Although I grew up in Pasadena. -
Hey everyone. You're all doing great. Let's close out the month with a bang and burn off the last of the turkey day damage. I'll start a December challenge thread here today. Any suggestions/changes/updates you guys would like to add to next months challenge?

We are not landlocked.....for those of you (Laura) who are geographically challenged. They discovered this thing called the Gulf of Mexico quite a long time ago. Although my dogs seem to be running away from it as fast as they can. -

It probably isn't as beneficial.....but it could still be effective to a certain degree....and appealing to people who feel the need for a "reversible" procedure. -
Not only that, but reducing packaged foods....eating more protein.....these things are going to naturally being your sodium intake down.

Confessions Of A Junkie

Hi goodcyn. Welcome. Not alot of 3 year vets around here so your perspective is invaluable. I'm sorry you've had this backslide but I can sense your determination to turn it around and not slide again. Best of luck. You still have the sleeve plus your knowledge of how to use it. -

That's great LV and you are looking so healthy and fit. All that hiking and biking is paying off. Missus butter and myself ran a turkey trot 5 mile race this morning. I'll have some official race pics in a couple of days but for now all I have is this post run/freezing our asses off selfie. Afterward we grilled jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp for our non traditional turkey day "feast." I use quotes around that word because now 3 shrimp fill me up.....but I still made 5 pounds. WTF? -

I say never feel bad. Keep your head, eat sensibly....and be happy about your decisions. We all wanna be normal right? Well normal people have a treat or 2 on thanksgiving. Enjoy a sleevers portion and don't beat yourself up about it. Just make sure what you do eat will not set off your cravings later on.
-
Actually the studies prove that diet has more to do with weight loss than exercise. Having said that, the benefits to exercise are too numerous to list....but not absolutely essential to weight loss. Nor is it anyone's business to tell us what we "have to do." I'm way too stubborn to do what other people tell me I HAVE to do.

Forgot this.

Good job everyone. You all are killing it.....so today will not detail you no matter what. Make sensible decisions today, and whatever little treats you enjoy, don't feel bad about them cause tomorrow you will burn then right back off. Me and missus butter got a jump start and ran a 5 mike turkey trot. Then proceeded to eat most of it back in the form of fresh hot finish line pancakes. Damn then pancakes. They just shoved a plate in my hand....I couldn't say no.
