Being happy with the way I looked back in 2008, thinking at the time that I'm 350lbs, moving to New Jersey, not bring my car so walking and train rides through NJ to NY would not put on the pound but the pounds should go down or stay the same. Little did I know.
I travel back and forth to California to New Jersey and not knowing at the time I was getting bigger and bigger. Then November 2009 my mom stated to me that my thigh just keep getting wider and wider, but I just say "Im still the same size as I was before I let to New Jersey". I did not realize that I was that big. Until that last visit in July 2010 to California where I had a first class ticket and I was not able to sit in the chair. Description "My hips on top of both arm rest in first class holding me up off the seat. Had to seat sideways with one hip on the seat the other on the arm rest with an extension to hold me in and a blanket to cover the ugly mess. Leg was getting numb so I have to switch sides every 5 mins." SO SO SO UNCOMFORTABLE! Then that's when I went to my first consultation with the lap band July 12, 2010 and they said I was 12lbs from 400lbs. WOW!!! So In New Jersey they schedule the surgery for Oct 18, 2010.
But to say after the surgery and a few issues I think im on track ask of my 1 year post surgery October 18, 2011 I am at 268lb dropped 120lbs . I still free good about myself, like I always have, but I think my bones free better about the weight being dropped.
But I am happy that the weight did come down.
UPDATE:
JAN 2013 HAD COMPLICATIONS WITH SLIPPAGE, NEED TO HAVE LAP BAND REMOVED ASAP OR I WOULD DIE. HAD SURGERY TO HAVE BAND REMOVED.
FEB 2013 REALLY BAD PAIN RUSHED TO HOSPITAL, WAS IN HOSPITAL FOR FIVE DAY THEN TOLD THAT THE STOMACH WAS TWISTED AND TURNED GANGRENE.

I NEED TO HAVE EMERGENCY SURGERY I HAVE LESS THEN ONE HOUR TO LIVE. DURING THIS SURGERY THEY REMOVED 90% OF THE STOMACH. INPUT 4 TUBE HANGING OUT THE STOMACH 2 ON EACH SIDE TO DRAIN ANY LEAKAGE, 1 TO FEED ME 1 TO DRAIN EVERYTHING I SWALLOW. BECAUSE NOW I HAVE TO SMALL STOMACH THAT WAS NOT ATTACHED TO EACH OTHER.
NOW FOR A VISUAL MY FEED PUMP

I HAD THIS PUMP ATTACH TO THE JG TUBE HANGING OUT OF MY STOMACH FOR 5 MONTHS. IT WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE. IT GOT INFECTED. HAD TO GO BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND SPEND TWO MORE DAYS.
THEN JUNE 2013 I HAD ANOTHER SURGERY TO FIX WHAT HAS HAPPEN AND THE ONLY WAY TO FIX ME WAS TO GIVE ME A GASTRIC BYPASS.( WHICH IS A SURGERY I TRIED TO AVOID THAT WHY i GOT THE LAP BAND )
SO NOW ITS BEEN A MONTH SINCE THAT LAST SURGERY AND I CAN EAT SOLID FOOD AGAIN BUT IM NOT 100% YET. BUT TIME WILL TELL.
I'M JUST A LITTLE UPSET THAT I GOT THE LAP BAND, BECAUSE I'VE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS.
BUT I'M GLAD THAT IT IS OVER.
ON A GOOD NOTE I'M ALIVE. AND WITH THE FEED TUBE I LOST 60LBS. SO THE GOAL I WANTED WAS 200LBS. NOW I'M 200LBS AS OF TODAY! JULY 12, 2013 ON MY BORN DAY.
THANKS MY STORY.
