Adventures Of Sex Werewolf And Punch Clock Jonnie!
BenisaMartim4 replied to Donito's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hon, women's sex drive tend to go up DRAMATICLY! It is because of the extra hormones that are being dumped into your system from the fat loss (fat stores estrogen). My husband and I had got to where we only had sex about once a month. Now I could have him for dessert after every meal! It is a complete 180 for me. He is still in shock and trying to keep up -

I started out at 335#, I have lost 111# and I look just fine. COMPLETELY FEMININE! My husband is very pleased. So this might happen to some, but it sure didn't here. Maybe if I got down to 100# or something..hah! -

6 Month Surgiversary And 111# Down
BenisaMartim4 posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I Am sharing my Facebook post to my friends: Well, today was my 6 month post-surgical visit with Dr. Pinson and here is the run down: I am down 111# and 100 some-odd inches. I have went from a size 28 to a 16. I am off the walker, cane, and 21 medicines. I no longer suffer in continual, crippling pain from the Fibromyalgia, but can walk, without even a limp, a 20 minute mile. A VSG patient is considered a success if they have lost 60% of their excess body weight by 18 months post-surgery. I have lost 75% already, so today I was "pinned". I received my gold pin of success. I asked him if he thought I would be able to get another 40# off in the next 6 months. He said, "OH, YEAH! with a doubt." He was ecstatic with the progress I have made (he was cheering me like I had just won the Super Bowl...lol) and said, "I can't wait to see what you look like in another 3 months." YAY!! I am soo excited. I have not been this small in almost 20 years and I haven't felt as well in I know 10. Y'all just hang around and watch me disappear ;0)...and if you want to try it too, give me a call. All you've got to lose is sore feet, aching backs, the medicine bag, big butts and bellies and a lot of inches. It's not a magic bullet by far, but it is a shovel (a tool) to help FILL IN the hole you are in. It sure beats getting deeper and continuing to dig your grave with a spoon! I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
BenisaMartim4 replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have enjoyed reading this thread, but probably for a different reason than all of you. I just want to give a shout out of encouragement to you all. Six months ago I too was on here posting all the things that I wanted to do (or not do) when I got thin. Tonight I was able to read through all of your posts and check off all of my accomplishments. IT IS AWESOME!! I am enjoying things now that I never would have even dreamed of this time last year. I go for my 6 month post op tomorrow and I am down 111# total. If I can do it, you can too. Sooo, ROCK THOSE SLEEVES PEOPLE!! WOOHOO!! -

BenisaMartim4 replied to jhansen71's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I saw you in that dress...WTG!! It is soo awesome to be able to watch the clock roll backwards. It made me want to try mine on too. So, I got the hubby to help me into it Saturday night. Yes, I had to have help. That thing is huge! It has a cathedral train that filled most of our living room. Anywho..it was falling off too big. I figured it up, I weight 45# less now than I did then. I told my hubby, when I get to goal, I may have it taken-up. I would like to have some pictures made in it; so I can look like how I wish I could have then. It truly is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. -

My Insurance Wont Tell Me If I'm Approved Is Yours The Same?
BenisaMartim4 replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Insurance & Financing
No, mine was not that way. I called them every day for months (my approval took 4 months). Your doc is not the insurances paying client, you are. Any information they have on you or your case is YOURS. There is nothing that they have that is to be withheld from you. The doctor can only have the information because you signed papers for them to have access to ALL of your records. Someone either doesn't know what they are talking about or they are just jerking your chain so you won't bother them. -

It is hard, but you can do it. I started out just smaller (335) than you and I am down 104#. No it's not fun not being able to eat everything you want, but we have to make sacrifices to get the results we want. I think mine are worth it. What about you? Picture yourself in my place in a few months. 5-6 dress sizes smaller, off all your meds and a member of the Century Club.. Woohoo!! Excited yet:)

Need Some More Help
BenisaMartim4 replied to tx_girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you take Mineral oil (you can get it in the medicine section at Walmart) it will lubricate the lining of your intestines and make things move more freely. You also need to be on stool softeners. When it comes time to go, rub some Vaseline around the opening to your bottom (just inside a little). It will help lubricate and prevent tearing. This is a common thing to do for babies that are constipated, but it works the same for everyone. Make sure you are drinking as much as you can. The less liquid you have in your system, the harder the stool is going to be. Hope some of this helps and you get to feeling better soon (((HUGS))) -
I guess I'm not that weird after all. I have thought about that exact same thing. I have 4 sons and no daughter. Unfortunately I don't have the $3000 for the treatments either. My mother had them done for years though and the laser treatments too, but it didn't work for her :o/
