  1. One week til I'm sleeved and I don't want to concentrate on anything else!

  2. Glad to see you are on your way.
  3. Praying that my first liquid diet weekend goes well. Day #4 was rough in the end!

  4. I started my pre-op diet on Monday and didn't get really hungry until Thursday. The only solids I can have are the pieces that get missed by the blender. Cream soups, tomato soup, sugar free jello, gum, Lifewater, and Vitamin water sustain me. I'm saving broth for next week when I'm closer to surgery. Most of our hunger is mental so we have to be diligent in our thinking. Sure I had a craving or three but I've invested too much time, money and effort to turn back now. I believe we will all do well.
  5. 8 weeks of no chewing starts tomorrow. 2 week pre-op liquid diet begins and then the big day!

    600-800 calories...easy or hard?

I really appreciate this post because I've been wondering happens when the honeymoon is over after the surgery. When I start my liquid diet I am supposed to max out at 1000 calories and 60 grams of protein daily. Maybe eating more will help you. Also, you sound like you lead a busy life, but are you tracking your food intake and exercise daily? That might help you see if you're eating enough to balance your calorie output.

    A month to go...

Hi Everyone! I'm Elizabeth. My surgery date is November 21, 2011. I am excited and anxious all at the same time. I feel like my life is about to become the one I've wanted to have since I was younger-healthy and happier. I joined this site because there is no advice like that of the experienced. Thanks to all of you that have posted comments on different threads, it is such a huge help. I look forward to sharing my journey with you and hope to be there for others as you have.
