I'm in Freaking hell
morningkiss replied to Phatcurves's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Phatcurves - from your pix, you look like a hottie:) I'm 40 years old, never been married and have been alone for what seems like forever - we need to meet in the middle - you have some quality 'me' time and I need to relax, lol. I have a boyfriend who makes me laugh because he's always teasing me about the food I can't eat. I remember my first trip to the grocery store - 4 days after surgery. I was on the cell phone with him laughing and crying at the same time. It hurt like hell to laugh but he was so funny. Laughter is such good medicine. If this man isn't making you laugh - trust me there are tons of them that will. Be good to yourself first and others will be good to you too. hugs, Dawn -
Hi there. Thanks for the friend request. I'm still learning my way around the website, lol.

Hi everyone. I was sleeved April 27 and so far so good. No major issues or complaints. I started eating food (mushies) around week 3 and then I would eat maybe 5 small spoons and I was full. Now I'm eating regular food, but still trying to eat soft-like foods like apple sauce and oatmeal. I'm turning into a sugar freak - anything that I think has too much sugar I won't eat it, lol. I need to chill out I know. I have experienced a few bad eating episodes - where I felt like I was going to throw up but thank God I didn't. I think I ate too fast. After having a few of those, you get kinda scared to eat, lol. Roja - keefak, ana mnih. I am not too far from you I'm in Kuwait and had my surgery done here. Sounds like you're doing really good:) I lost 21lbs my first 2 weeks. I hit a stall at week 3 - just when I started eating. Week 4 I started on the treadmill. Only 30 min of walking...at 3.4 miles per hr on an incline of 5 - at least it kept me from running. I was working out before I had surgery but stopped one month prior. I lost another 2 lbs and my clothes are way loose now. I was a 16 now I'm wearing a size 14. I need to work on drinking enough Water - especially since its so hot here. I take Vitamins but no Calcium and no anti-acid meds. I drink milk for calcium and sometimes I drink Ensure or a Protein drink - but it's not my favorite. Dawn

I live in the Fintas area. I work as a contractor - no hubby yet, lol. I have family in the MD/VA area, my daughter lives in Atlanta and I have sibblings that live in the Chicago area. I have been adding Crystal light to my Water - not all the time but every so often just for some flavor. I have become such a waster of food. It takes me forever to eat anything so by the time I've eaten it as a leftover for the 2 time - I throw it away. Mint tea has become my evening treat, lol.

I was sleeved on April 26, 2010 and lost 21 pounds the first 2 weeks. Weeks 3 & 4 I hit a stall - I thought it was because I started eating food, apparently this is something your body does (I've read lots of posts, lol). I started walking on the tread mill for 30 minutes, 2 times a week when I hit the stall - I really want to run but I resist the urge. I think I broke through as I lost one pound as reported by the lovely scale this morning. Overall, this has been an easy experience for me, not much pain after the surgery just discomfort. I started eating fairly early - albeit I was full after 4 or 5 small spoons. After reading all the posts on calcium and Nexuim I have to admit I'm not taking any of those. I do take vitamins daily. But I don't have any heatburn or reflux and I drink milk. I have had a few bad experiences with food (I think I ate too fast), but I didn't throw up; walking helped. I only make the gurling noises when I drink coffee - which probably means I shouldn't drink it. I do have issues with drinking enough fluids - I have to get better at that since I live in Kuwait and it's hot as hell here. I tried to drink the Protein Bullet Shot drink - yeah no - it's way thick. Any advice given will be greatly appreciated. Oh, I read someone's post who said you can lose inches even when the scale isn't moving - is that true? I know if you're exercising that is true. Thanks:001_rolleyes:

mommaof4yoopers - thanks for your response. I go to the doctor tomorrow for my one month follow-up appointment. I expect everything to to go well. I can't wait to loose a little more fat so I can send pix to my family in the states. I didn't tell them I had the surgery until after it was done. I didn't want them to worry since I was so far away. I wish I could get purchase diet snapple - but it's not sold here, not even on the military base. I drink plain Culligan Water mostly (don't like local bottled water) and sometimes with Crystal light or a little bit of juice just for flavor. Most of the ladies that I know here have the lap band (surgery performed by the same doctor) and they are now thinking about switching to the sleeve. Compaired to their issues - I really haven't had any. I look forward to the feedback recieved here as it keeps me in touch with home:)
