    Post Surgery Reading

    im in australia and the book that guides you all the way from optifast pre surgery to normal eating is called the KNIFE FORK AND BAND its been like a bible to me so maybe check it out on the internet and see if you can get it . I was banded on the 24th jan 2012 and im not sure how i would be coping without the book and the recipes are delicious.
  4. hi rocky i got my lapband done on the 24th jan and the wind pain has been terrible and also very stingy pain over the port cut still when i sit up from or turn over in bed but im following the book i got from the surgeons office called fork knife and band and you should be having 6 half cups of thin soup or smoothies or optifast shakes a day now plus you can have tea and coffee as well but small cups.i cooked up soups and blended them and they are very satisfying and full of nutrients as well so try a bit more so you dont have to feel hungry.
  5. im 56 and have diabetes and heart disease and advanced arthritis so i hope to get more years of life by having a lapband fitted because i have tried everything over many years and each time the weight comes back on and more so im hoping to end insulin taking and maybe drop a bloodpressure tablet or two and feel less back pain
