How Much Did You Eat At Two Months Out?
ATeam posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey all, I'm about two months out of my surgery and I feel like I can eat a lot. A Typical day will be Breakfast which consists of maybe an egg, a slice of ham and maybe an ounce of cheese. For lunch I'll usually have maybe a Protein shake, and for supper i'll have a small piece of chicken with some mashed up broccoli and laughing cow cheese. I also snack throughout the day with little bites of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or maybe a slice of cheese. I kind of feel like I've healed faster then a few people, which has enabled me to eat more, and I also find that I get quite hungry shortly after I eat, even now after I've moved into more solid foods. Is this normal? -
How Much Did You Eat At Two Months Out?
ATeam replied to ATeam's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the answers guys! I am definitely not eating and drinking at the same time, nor am I drinking before or after meals working the restricted time frame. I am getting all my Water in, and am going for my Protein first. I wait to drinks water after eating, and I generally feel that that's when the hunger starts. Maybe I need to wait longer than 30 minutes? I don't think the hunger is coming from acid. I was taking a ppi early on, and it didn't really help the hunger feeling. Maybe I'll give it another try. I also think the hunger is a mental thing as well. I find that during the day I generally do not feel hungry, but when I am home for the evening, the hunger starts. Ugh! It's so hard, because it could be so easy to just graze all evening. -
I had amazing results Pre sleeve with paleo. I'm talking like 20 lbs. a month. I'll let you know how it goes in a few weeks when I can start up again!

People should post about horrible experiences and deaths... That's how we avoid more of them happening...

Why wouldn't you just privately write to whoever was pissing you off in the first place? Airing out your greivances in public to something so specific (it was obviously aimed at one person who you fell "wronged you") is very childish. Good luck wherever you go. But since it's the Internet, I'm sure you will find these issues wherever you go.

Who Was Your Gastric Sleeve Surgeon
ATeam replied to boredswfl's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I used the beautiful Dr. Maria Pompa Gonzalez at the LIMPA surgical centre in Tijuana. It is a bariatric centre of excellence. Truly an amazing medical experience. Beautiful facility, compassionate staff who spoke fluent English, and 11/10 care. I was very impressed! -
How Can I Decrease The Size In My Calves?
ATeam replied to Sleevie WonderLand's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I naturally have a bigger butt, thighs and legs, but when I started doing Pilates my legs got super toned and thinned right up! I recommend it for slimming and creating long, lovely muscles. -
4 Weeks Post Op - Should I Be Able To Eat This Much?
ATeam replied to LoserMama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am the same way. Sleeved on Dec 13, and when it comes to yogurt or cottage cheese, and I can eat quite a bit, and get hungry soon after. But today when I had an egg with cheese, I was so full after 3/4 of it I couldn't get another bite down! It really depends on the food. -
I Disagree With You But...
ATeam replied to BABEwiththePOWER's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually like to look at it like a gall bladder. My stomach didn't work for me. It was always hungry and always craving carbs foods because my grehlin levels were out of whack. Be ause it no longer worked for me (much like a bad gallbladder) I had it taken out. We have been prosecuted against our whole heavy lives, and made to feel lesser, and then we get judged for helping ourselves with surgery. It's so hard, but know that it's you body, and you are taking care of a true medical problem: obesity. It's a deadly disease. A cancer patient would get chemo, why wouldn't you save your own life? -
I am in Canada, and a brand called Cloverleaf makes them. Maybe its a Canadian thing? They are usually with all the other tuna cans at the grocery store! I hope you find them!

I Just Sucked The Cheese Off A Dorito And It Was So Satisfying.
ATeam replied to Kareforme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Haha I started laughing when I saw the title of this thread! I totally did the same thing when I got home (one can only handle clears for so long), and actually got grossed out because it was so salty. I think we all have disordered eating/a food addiction, or else we wouldn't have ended up in the surgery boat. Hang in there! I came into my surgery with an eating disorder and haven't even thought about it since. Its been amazing! -
Tired Of Drinking Broth? Here Is What I Did...
ATeam replied to Mr_Worm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Be careful with the salt! All broth is full sodium, and most cup a soups and cubes have lots of MSG as well. -
My doc had the same plan ,and I must admit I moved on to fulls after 1 week because I was so miserable and weak!

I Honestly Am Scared...
ATeam replied to meggspeggs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's actually very unlikely that you stretched your sleeve. Your surgeon removed the stretchy part of your tummy, and left behind the more rigid, fibrous part. The only way you can really stretch it out is if you happen to have a stretchier cartilage and fibrous tissue. -
The deep fried might be are early on. Otherwise, I know I'm gonna go for it once I can!

Mmm, those sound good- i love a tuna casserole. Right now I am in love With those tiny cans of tuna that are flavored. Thai peanut, lemon and dill, lemon pepper, sundried tomato... They are delicious and have 18 grams of protein per can!

I am 6 weeks in, and I still don't think it's set in that this is for life! Sometimes I need to check myself, as I can catch myself being in the "diet mind frame", rather than the "this is it for life" mind frame. I will get there, but it might be when I am not so restricted with what I can eat. I'm sure it will all hit me when I try to eat normal foods and the amount is so restricted!

Stalls Are No Big Deal So Why Complain?
ATeam replied to royboy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If it gets you fired up, don't read it. Simple enough! After paying big money and having 85% of our stomachs taken out, I think we're entitled to complain and show some apprehension about our stalls! -
Glass Of Vino After Surgery? What Are The Consequences?
ATeam replied to CCWriter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm almost 6 weeks out and am enjoying a glass right now! It's earlier than my post op, but it isn't irritating me at All. -

My dad stayed in the hotel! There was lots of staff in the hospital, and my dad basically stayed there until visiting hours were open and closed. This gave me some time to work in my walking and breathing exercises and sleep!
