Anyone Else Have Surgery Right Before Their Birthday?
bratvp63 replied to Babysteppin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery two weeks before my birthday. Was kind of in a funk but ended up having a sugar free ice cream bar and I was ok with that. Turned out better than I thought. -
Weight loss for 300+ sleevers!
bratvp63 replied to jennaleigh1992's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5'7" and started at 358, surgery was march 19th and weighed in at 247 this morning. Loss has really slowed the last two months due to my lack of trying but am turning up the gym time, protein and water and hope to get things going again. Have gone from 3x shirts to xl and 38 in pants down to 16/18. Ultimate goal is to be a perfect size 12. -
Hey fellow Oregon sleevers! I would love to start a support/discussion group for 2013. Maybe once a month to start. Anyone interested? I live out in the tanasborne area but willing to meet where ever. You can email me at karenlynn81@gmail.com if interested.

Am wondering other than PDXMan (who is awesome) are there any other Oregon folks out there? Would love to connect with someone.

Last year I only had two, then once in Jan and once in August. Hoping this is going to be it.

Before And After I Hope It Worked

All I can say is "Damn girl you look good!" -
Hi VST Family, it's been awhile since I've posted on here and have finally gotten around to getting new pictures taken. It's been 7 months since surgery and I have lost 95 pounds. I feel so much better and have actually shopped in a regular women's clothing store for the first time in 19 years. This has been such an amazing journey and can't wait for it to continue down into onederland. Thanks to everyone on here for their amazing support and advice. I could not have done this without all of you.

Same here, it's crazy.

Thanks everyone! Hey Sannah go ahead and message me, I'll answer anything you have.

Chili dog minus the bun is still one I love and have at least once a month. I add cheese and onions to mine. Chocolate is something I thought I would have a hard time with but I really don't crave it like I used to. And one little piece is more than enough and it's weeks before I even think about it.

I was a hard core diet cherry Pepsi drinker before the sleeve. Now I drink the diet snapple half and half with only 10 calories and only 1 carb.

In a couple of weeks the company I work for is having their annual sales univ here in town that I have worked at for many years. There is a large group if people that I talk with all year round but only see face to face here at this meeting. I hope to make the 100 pound loss by then and I do feel better about myself even though I still have another 100 to go. My question is do I wear the clothes I have that are all to big or splurge and get some things that show off what I've accomplished so far? I'm very proud of what I've done but don't want to be that heavy gal flaunting it. An I making sense? I really want to but don't know if I should. I could really use some advice. Thanks in advace.

I only had to do one day of liquid diet before surgery so I'm not surprised by this.

I had to update you all on how it went. I got more compliments then I knew what to do with AND one of the security guys hit on me Tuesday night (wanted to go out to coffee) It really made me feel good about myself. Totally worth it, a huge ego boost. Thank you for all the support, I really do appreciate it.

I actually had a guy at least ten years younger than me ask me out to coffee last week. Shocked the hell out of me. Haven't had that kind of attention in over 19 years. Made me smile and felt good about myself. I have been married 26 years to the love of my life and he has loved me through "thick and thin". He is my number one supporter and the only one for me.
