Chacha, it could be possible. I'm adopted and we could have been separated at birth! Hahaha
-
Chacha - are you kidding? That's me before my morning coffee! Lol

Checking in....still having no issues at all from surgery which is a blessing. I had the dreaded three week stall but it has finally broke and the scale dropped 6 pounds since then. Whew. I am down 21 pounds since surgery and 44 pounds over all. I am so glad I did this and only wish I had done it sooner.

Hey there! We moved out of the Wismer house yesterday (that was the rental) and back to the hotel. Our house won't be ready for another couple of weeks so not too much longer. Can't wait to be home again. How are things going for you?
-
Sorry fror the delay, I've been away from my scale for a couple of weeks. But boy am I glad I was. When I last weighed myself I was in a stall, this morning I stepped on and I've lost 6 pounds in the last 11 days. Yeah me! This is my first challenge and I really want to make this goal. 27 days to go and 14 pounds to wash away. Go team!!! HW: 358 SW: 355 CW: 314 GW: 300

Holy crap! You look amazing now. Congrats!! -
Capt Derel, first of all I want to thank you for your service to our country. Second you should tell the USCG to go kick rocks. You have done an amazing job so far, I applaud you!!! You will be at goal in no time.

Congrats! That is such a great feeling. I had ordered some cute tanks a couple of weeks back, one in the size I was moving into and two in the next size down. Got them yeaterday and the smaller size fits perfectly. Man I love this sleeve.

How Fast Did You Drop Sizes?
bratvp63 replied to jaymzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am six weeks out and went from a 34 to a 30. I had kept one pair of jeans from before and they were 32, tried them on and they are too big. Even the two pair of new pants I got for work last weekend are feeling roomy already. Oh the joys of being sleeved. -
I have a small one...the scale has been stuck due to the dreaded third week stall and I was finally going back to work and needed some pants as the only two pair I had were too big. I went to Catherine's and picked out the next size down and to my surprise they were too big. I actually got two sizes smaller and I don't think they will last long as they already seen roomy around the waist. Oh happy day!

Has anyone tried those new thin breads/buns/bagels that are out there? I used to eat those when on WW and two slices equaled one slice of bread. I wonder if toasted that could be an alternative layer down the road.
-
All foods now just making sure protein first. I just went shopping and I am down two pant sizes and one shirt size. That made my day.

They were about a month out. I was approved in December so they were looking at January but she was out for two weeks so we set a date in February. I ended up having to push it to March due to our house fire and here I am today. I would not have changed anything and so glad I did this. You will be too!

I love Lisa....she is so inspirational. I have united health care and it took less than 5 days once they sent it in.
-
When you have your one month followup they will give you a list of what you'll need. They are pretty specific on what you'll have to take. Pain was not bad and they were great about keeping up on the pain meds if you needed them.
-
Forgot...just a chewable vitamin and Pepcid afterwards.

No drain and no leak test. I think we have it the easiest compared to most posters on the forum. Are you in the Portland area?
-
You will love this...one day pre-op diet and no catheder either.
-
I had Dr. Patterson too and loved her. Had my one month follow up this week. Surgery went great and I had no surgery complication. Probably the easiest surgery I've had.

I am in Portland and had my surgery at Good Sam. Who is your doctor?

I Thought Would Feel Different
bratvp63 replied to MoogleQueen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're not alone....I was sleeved on 3/19 and had my one month follow up yesterday and I'm down 15 pounds since surgery and 38 total including the pre op diet. I was on antibiotics on week 2 for bronchitis and they said that slowed me down a little but they were happy with my loss. If you think about it that's half a pound a day. I never did that on any other diet I have ever tried. Keep your chin up and stay with getting in your water and protein and we will get there.
