Okay, phewwww, had a short stall and it kinda worried me there for awhile. Things are back on track and down four more pounds. I have 11 pounds to go and only 16 days to do it. Maybe I was a bit too aggressive in my goal. No matter, I'm still going for it! HW: 358 SW: 335 CW: 302, 297, 293 GW: 282

I also like the zero calorie sobi waters.

I've gotten hooked on the diet snapped. They have alot of good flavors.

The first 4-6 weeks were tough, was thinking I was going to melt overnight and when it wasn't happening it was depressing. Three months out now and doing and feeling great. It will pass.

Jeans Jeans = This Mornings Happy Dance

That's awesome, congrats! -
Renee, I read your post and it sounds exactly like my journey. I turned 49 this year and decided that it was time for me to take of myself. I had surgery in March and have had no complications. I would do this again in a heart beat. I am losing consistently and am happy with my progress. I gained alot of weight after the twins were born and have continued to gain over the past 19 years. I finally decided that I needed a permanent tool to help me get back to a healthy weight and keep it off. This was the right choice for me and am loving every minute of it.

I was surprised that I was dropping sizes faster than what the weight loss was showing. Started at 34 pant and 3x shirt at surgery and now 3 months later in into 18/20 pants and XL shirts. I haven't cleaned out my closet yet but I really need to. I don't buy many clothes at any one time now since they won't be around for long. I still have a long way to go but loving every minute of it.

I am losing slow than I had expected but I have decided to not compare myself to others on this site as we are all different and the weight I have lost is waaaay better than any other weight loss program I have ever been on. Also I don't have the fear of ever being this weight again, I'm never looking back. Every pound lost is a victory! I would also rather lose at this rate so I don't have a ton of loose skin. Hopefully it can keep up with me.

How Long After Surgery Do You Need Help? P.s. Just Started Getting Nervous
bratvp63 replied to Marty McSkinnystein's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I spent most of the day alone and that was ok with me so that I could nap when I needed it. Just a nice quiet time to rest and relax and not feel like I had to be hosting anyone. -
How Can People Not See It?
bratvp63 replied to butterbean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It took about 60 pounds before co-workers started to take note. Also once I broke down and bought clothes that fit rather then the baggy old ones it made a difference. I also get the "did you cut your hair?" really? My hair is super short to start with. -
I take B12 every night and can really tell the difference when I don't take it.

Ewwww...another stall. Yikes! No weight loss last week. I am so frustrated.

I have turned to Jimmy John's Un-which. Turkey, cheese, tomato and onion wrapped in lettuce. Super yummy.
-
Also add gatorade or powerade and a banana or two. Works like a charm.

My approval took one week with UHC. Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you. -
We're sleeve sisters, I am down 38 pounds since surgery and 61 total. Feeling so much better. Love'm my sleeve.

I am 11 weeks and I was cleared for all foods at 5 week. So far the only thing that hasn't sat well with me is egg salad. All other forms of eggs are fine though, go figure. I just make smart choices, but it is nice to be able to eat anything. Salads are finally easier and I love the unwich from Jimmy Johns. No bread, they wrap the meat and cheese in lettuce. Very good and good for you when you're on the run.

So my girls and I went to LB tonight to check out some new clothes and I could not believe that I was fitting into 18/20 and 22 clothes. I started this journey in size 34. I have lost over 60 pounds so far and boy what a difference. I came home and tried on some of the new pants for my husband and his reaction was priceless. "wow, now there's the butt I remember". Thought I was going to pee my pants from laughing so hard. Best day ever!

This was a great week in so many ways, first I lost 5 pounds and second I finally made it to twonderland! Tonight I'm going clothes shopping since none of my pants are staying up. Etiher that or buy a pair of suspenders. I'm so gonna kill this challenge. I have so much more energy now it's so hard to believe. HW: 358 SW: 335 CW: 302 now 297 GW: 282

Today is the day I got to wave goodbye to the 300's....I am offically in TWONDERLAND and it is amazing. I haven't been here for over 15 years and it just brought tears to my eyes when I stepped on the scale today. I am so thankful that I have done this and it has gone so smoothly. The only regret is that I didn't do it years ago.

Coughing Before/after Surgery? Can You Share Your Experience?
bratvp63 replied to SylviaMom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I came down with bronchitis three days after surgery and coughed so much. I just kept a small pillow with me to hold on my stomach when I coughed. It wasn't painful, just super annoying. Ended up on antibiotics and cough medicine which really helped but stopped the weight loss for almost two weeks. Everything is better and the weight loss is back to moving very well. Is was at half a pound a day then and up to a pound a day now. -
Have you tried Gatorade? Maybe your electrolytes are low.

I'm all about new shoes and purses, mani/pedi, massages, limo wine tours, something personalized (I want a new briefcase) my big one is a trip to Maui for meeting goal. I have until Fall of 2013 to get my butt in gear. Oh, what about a girls weekend in Vegas???
