PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS ONLINE!!!!!!
I am 48 years old and have been a Type 1 diabetic since I was 23 for the past 25 years.  I have been on an insulin pump for the past 11 years.   I have gained approximately 60 pounds in the past 9 years, and was approximately 40 pounds overweight before gaining that amount.  I am presently 245 pounds as of today.  The diabetes has been a constant struggle, and within the past 15 years or so, losing weight has grown to be impossible.  I get really disciplined and eat healthy, (not starving) and walking briskly each day and only gain weight continually.  I also had my thyroid gland removed over 30 years ago, and it has been regulated, yet I cannot lose weight.  If I keep gaining weight, this will kill me.  I am desperate and ready to try anything.  It's not an issue of vanity anymore, I feel like I am dying.
