  1. I had this same issue also that started 2 weeks after surgery. I had it REALLY bad for about 1 1/2 weeks, then it seems like when I went back to work it got better. Nothing could ride on my waist and it was worse when walking or standing and better when I sat or layed down. I was told it was muscular and didn't believe them when they told me that. Now I am starting to think they are right! Lay low and take it easy, it will go away
  2. Congrats on your banding! I am currently 3 weeks post op and doing great! As far as my appitite the first 10 days-it was clear liquids & full liquids, like creamed soups (strained), water, gatorade, milk with &/or without sugar free carnation instant breakfast, jello, pudding, very thin malt-o meal, applesauce, etc... I didn't have a problem with getting my appitite back, I was kinda slow at eating/drinking at first because I was scared to get a blockage. I am now on pureed foods and doing great & ready for a fill in a few weeks! Hope this helps! I would contact your dietician through your doctors office if you have any worries about not consuming enough calories. I was told that at this point not to worry about getting enough....should only be getting no more than 500 calories per day.
  3. I have had this skin sensation pain just left to my belly button and a little below, right where my pants sit on my waist. It started almost 1 week ago and noticed it after I had done some light cleaning. I am 2 & 1/2 weeks post op. It feels like I am being stabbed from the inside and when anything rubs on my skin it sends a sharp pain instantly. I do not have any pain when I am sitting or laying down. I have checked with my surgeon's office and the RN said it sounds like it's muscular pain. It just doesn't feel like muscle pain (like right after surgery). I have tried tylenol and ice and it didn't seem to make a difference in the sensation. I do not have a rash-so it's not shingles. Has anyone had this problem? Please help....

    Skin sensation pain

Thanks to those of you who responded. I am glad that at least someone else understands my pain. It is so hard to explain it to someone and have them imagine what I am feeling. I'll TRY to stick it out another week or so. Good thing I work as a medical assistant so I can wear loose fitting clothes all day long .

    Skin sensation pain

It is near my port site and only bothers me when I am standing or walking around. Right now I don't have anything on my waist line and it's not bothering me and I am sitting. Now if I get up and walk around even when my pants are not around my waist it still bother's me. Does this go away?
