After having weight issues all my life (up and down), I got injured causing me to be homebound since 2007 having had 2 major failed spinal surgeries (3 months apart), Lamendectomies with Fusions on my Lumbar L4-L5 area as well as several nerve ablations, screws etc. At my last Neurosurgeon's appointment I was informed that I needed another more "intense" surgery involving hip bones and electrical devices again with no guarantee of success either. Along with that and having very little mobility and 15 medications a day, I felt the life threatening need weighing 260, having a BMI of 57 and only 4'11 losing a drastic amount of weight (which is unattainable alone) would not only possibly put off or make it tolerable enough to get off all the pain meds., avoid the 3rd operation, get off the other numerous meds., finally spend some quality time with my family and start living again.
