Hi...my name is Joy and I have been overweight since the first grade.  I have been on every diet known to man.  I have lost weight on most of them, only to regain it and then some.  This year I turned 40 years old and decided it was time to do something way different than I ever have before.  I started checking into weight loss surgery.  My husband gave me all the normal, "I love you the way you are stuff" and was supportive from the beginning.  I convinced him to go to a seminar with me and guess what?  He decided to have surgery, too!  My BMI is exactly 40.  His BMI is 37 and he has diabetes, sleep apnea and high cholesterol.  We both are having surgery on November 8, 2011.  Our three week presurgical diet starts October 18th.  We are going to be great support for each other and I am so glad that we are doing this at the same time so we are on the same time schedule for presurgical, post surgical and fills.  I am looking so forward to being healthy!!!!
