My name is TJ, I'm from Maryland but born in Ohio. Smart enough to work for the Man, dumb enough to get back on a motorcycle after half a decade of no riding (one of my major reasons for losing weight - I miss my HD Dyna Glide ). My nutritionist made the recommendation for August 16 which is about 3 weeks after my program ends. The surgeon will respond soon we hope. Personally, I hope they can push it up because class starts again at the end of August. So I might pick up the knowledge from the insurance and just pay out of pocket with Dr. Kelly. Stats as requested (demanded?) 26 years old 5'10" 337 pounds prior to nutrition class 306 pounds as of this morning Im like a life size teddy bear Now I have to read the rest of the thread and figure out who else is in here and who they are hehe.

There really arent very many single male sleevers... I guess that means I get first pick? Just kidding. It's great to see all the single sleevers out, I'm joining the ranks (been single for a few months, but was using the time to get myself on track) and glad to be here. I'm still on the 6 month diet/exercise regime and in month 2 I'm down 31 pounds. If my college schedule doesn't fit the surgery date, I'm just gonna do in Mexico. It's nice to have both options. Anyways, bring it on singles - were the ones who keep the party going!

Frustrated After Peoples Response When I Told Them
Inline6E46 replied to SlevieNicks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I definitely understand where you're coming from. I'm a big guy and not so manly in the chest area. Everyone I have told about my intention to get WLS has been a downer (except one coworker who has already had WLS). I've been told its the easy way out, that all I need is diet and exercise, etc etc. While I understand where they are coming from, none of them have been morbidly obese (losing those extra 10 pounds isn't anything compared to losing ten times that much). So, all I do is nod and continue doing what my nutritionist tells me to do. I follow my diet and exercise routine (about 99%) and ignore what anyone else thinks. This is a personal decision for me, just as it is for you. We are making the decision to be healthy. Some people may not see eye to eye with us on how we get it done, but they have not lived in our bodies or lived our life. So stay strong. This forum is great for support and there are a thousand and one posts that keep me motivated to stay on track. So just try to stay positive. If you need support, this forum is there. Don't let anyone else tell you how to live your life, that right belongs to you and you alone. Don't get discouraged, just brush it off. -
Present. Not officially sleeved yet, and I dont even have a date - just a bunch of insurance stuff with Kaiser right now. But it looks promising.

Federal Employee Getting Insured By Aetna On 12/27 - What To Pick For Weight Loss Surgery?
Inline6E46 posted a topic in Insurance & Financing
Title says it all - im getting insured with Aetna on 12/27 and I need to finish my enrollment in the next week or two. Im still getting packets and paperwork and im a little lost. For those of you who do have Aetna, would you share some plan details? I dont need your insurance ID, numbers etc - just some basic information such as whether you have PPO or H MO and what selections you have. I know it varies from employer to employer, but having this kind of information on hand would be amazing. Edit: *** censored? =(
