well at least this time it took only two tries. I'm at 5.5 now. Hopfully this will do the trick. I just have to remember to go over the dietician's head and go straight to the surgery/fill coordinator when I need a fill.

Mac and cheese. It's the ultimate comfort food for me. I just read about an eatery in NY that specializes in mac and cheese. It's called S'MAC. You can have your mac and cheese 10 different ways. Yum.:hungry:

Rafael. You're most like the ArchAngel of Healing. You want people to shape up, and you nag. But you mean well, and you're well loved despite it. Or because of it. You bring the donuts even as you tell people to eat more veggies. Take this quiz! Quizilla | Join | Make a Quiz | More Quizzes | Grab Code

I want to be able to go river rafting, fall out of the boat, and not have my fellow rafters second guess about pulling me back in.

This is Munchy at her whitest and muddiest. This is Boo when she's good and right before she tears up her Nerf football into Nerf crumbles.

Being banded IS the easy way out!

I try to explain it like this to people who think I've taken the easy way out. "If you see someone drowning you throw the person a life preserver...you don't tell them that if they just learned how to swim right, they wouldn't be drowning right now. So just just leave me with my water wings while I learn how to swim." That usually puts them in their place. -
What's the worst thing someone said to you?

Oh that's such a knife through the heart. I've had that said to me all through the years. While not the meanest thing said to me it's definitely often asked of me..."Are you Hawaiian?" I just simply respond, "Sorry, I'm just a fat Filipino." I was telling a friend that I'm usually mistaken for being a Hawaiian, Guamanian, Samoan...and she stops me and says to me "Samoan? You're not that fat." So apparently I'm too fat to be Filipino, too skinny to be Samoan, but big enough to be Hawaiian. WTF?!!! Talk about being offensive three times over. -
So I'm back from my first fill. Oh what an experince. It took them five tries and three syringes to finally hit the port. It seems that my port seems to have moved a bit. so i'm at 3.5 cc.

"Fat" doesn't offend me, but "fatso" does. Oh the other "O" word. Yeah obese is depressing. I make fun of myself too. The first week post-op I was trying to explain the lap-band to some friends and I explained that the band divides the the stomach into two stomachs, one small, and one large. Then without thinking I said, "Ya I'm basically two stomachs away from being a cow."

Carlene: You forgot the Ass-roids (race of asses). They come in every color, shape, size, and creed. You can't recognize them until they open their mouth or cut you off on the freeway.
