I decided to go with the Realize band. Surgery went well. I lost 70 lbs in the first year and then my band slipped. They took out all of the saline and checked it in 6 weeks. The band had fell back in place. Starting having trouble again in September 2010. I went in and they once again took out all of the saline. I have since been laid off my job and have no medical insurance. I need to have an upper GI in order to get going in the right direction but cannot afford one without insurance. I have gained back 35 lbs since the 2nd slippage. It is not due to food because I can hardly eat without vomiting but must be from juices, etc. I can not get any response back from Dr. Snyder after 2 emails to him asking for help.
