Thank you! You are at work late. Michelle, you will fix this, because you have taken responsibility for it and are ready to drop it. Logging you meals and Zumba on day one is a great start. You will do it! I just took more meds and am waiting for the fever to subside so I can go back to bed. Good night all!
-
Well, I went to after hours and they told me I had strep throat. I didn't even have a fever when I got there, 97.9, but an hour later it was 100.9. I feel like doody. Yes, I just used the word doody. I sleep until the ibuprofen wears off and the fever returns. Ugh! I will catch up later.
-
I am having my first cup, too, Tracy. Unfortunately, I am getting dressed to go to after-hours. I woke up with a hellascious sore throat. I don't want to wait until Monday, since it will get worse, and I would have to miss school.

Kat, that is wonderful news!!!!

Congratulations, Charlene!!!

ugh...i am not meant to eat correctly today, my dear people. Ok, I already told you about the devil at work in Walmart..yes, I am blaming Walmart, even though i am not delusional enough yet to actually think it is their fault. Then, I had my dh George Forman some boneless skinless breasts so I could make the southwest egg rolls (like at Chilis) but leaner, of course. Did I get to cook those wonderful things, you ask? Uh, NO! SOMEONE, I have to say someone, since NO ONE confesses to it, opened the tortillas and didn't seal the pack up correctly and they are crispity crunchity, instead of being soft and lovely. Soooo, I went ahead and diced my chicken and minced my red bell pepper and green onions and I will cook it tomorrow. Oh, and what did my family want me to do with the lovely, ripe bananas we have on the counter? Homemade banana pudding. That is correct, my friends, I cooked it on the stovetop for them. Is that love, or what?! Since I indulged on the devil junk earlier, I plan to steer clear of the pudding. Ok, I said it was my plan...but it isn't set in stone. Ugh, i need massive amounts of help.

Tracy and Shar, I hope y'all feel better soon. Tracy, I hate to report that I lost that dang battle last night, big time...but I have more to worry about than the ice cream monster. That is correct, ladies and Plain, Satan is back. Yes, I am talking about peanut butter pumpkins. I am good from right after Easter until September and then Reeses start putting out that incredibly, sinful candy pumpkin. My daughter speaks of it affectionately as having "the perfect ratio of peanut butter and chocolate". She is correct. I can pass up a peanut butter cup with no problem, but I swear I was walking around the dang Walmart this afternoon looking for those dang pumpkins. I almost broke out into a sweat, because I didn't see them near the Halloween candy isle, so I went all the way over the food section, since they have that seasonal section over there. So, I guess it was good, since it gave me some exercise. Do you think that would pass for exercise? Picture this: doc "did you exercise this week? Me: "why, yes i did. . . I walked around the dang Walmart searching for the peanut butter pumpkins." :tt2: Anywho, I didn't see them, so I went BACK to the Halloween candy isle and found the sneaky little devils grinning at me from the top shelf. Oh, and don't even ask if I bought them, you KNOW i did, and I ate two in the car. Wow, this is sad. That is the longest post I have made in a while and it is about food....I am a sick, sick individual.

Welcome, Debbie. We have a great group of people here. Tracy, I didn't do anything this weekend, except do a lot of work for school and watch my LSU tigers TRY to lose a game! Angela, I don't know how you kept it together during that ceremony. I probably would've lost it completely:lol: Ok, ladies, and Plain, I am off to battle the ice cream monster that is trying to kick my butt.

Kat? 55???? I would lose my mind. The speed limit here is 70, unless you are going through the city and then it is usually 60. We may talk slow, but we like to drive fast. My classes this year are quite a bit lower. I have all of the ELL kids, so my homeroom is half Hispanic. Even though they speak English, it is harder for them to learn what I am teaching. They hear it in English, then translate it to Spanish in their little heads, then they have to translate back to English to give their answers. It is a lot of work for them. We looked at the standardized scores from their third grade tests last year and it was depressing. I have a LOT of work to do. Interim grades are due on Tuesday, so I have to spend this weekend working. I already met with my partner teacher yesterday after school, so I have next week planned, but those grades demand my attention. Jenn, it sounds like the work situation is going to be better soon since it seems people are aware of the crap that woman was dishing out to you and others. Oh, and I hope your classes go well. You are going to be a tired person for a while. Tracy, go to the doc!!! And, get some rest. You are right about the hurricane fund. I live far enough inland that we don't usually have to evacuate, but going for 1-2 weeks without electricity in the Louisiana heat doesn't really do it for me, so when it happens, I have to find a way to get cool. Katrina hit and then the next month Rita hit, so for Rita, we left and went to Tenn. Craziness. Shar, congrats on the weightloss! Michelle, I am glad you were able to get that tree down. $100 is not bad. I have a dang tree I need down and I pretty sure finding someone to do it for $100 is not going to happen.

I think it is ok to take it occasionally, but not on a regular basis, I think because it may increase your chance of developing an ulcer.
-
Tracy, are you really tight, or is there another reason you are asking about liquid Aleve? I just take the pills. When I am occasionally too tight from pbing, I take children's motrin.

Stupid little ticker has to remind me that the scale hasn't moved in forever!!!:cursing: Ugh, I guess I will update later with the same stats, because I hate seeing it look like that.
-
Be careful and have a wonderful time, Suzie! I am green with envy:biggrin:
-
Tracy, you are rocking this thing! Congrats on the weight loss.

Michelle, you will definitely have my prayers. Earlier this year they were almost certain that my stepdaughter had Lupus since she had so many indicators. The doctors have determined that she has one of the worst cases of fibromyalgia instead. Her flare-ups are really bad, but her lyrica is helping some. I hope you get some relief soon.

I don't think I will hear any more from the case. The CPS worker asked me what I saw and what the child told me and that was it. School is hectic and tiring right now. I don't feel like I am caught up yet, even though I am. I will probably go back to school tomorrow to do paperwork. I have 9 ELL students in my homeroom and there is paperwork that has to be done for them. Suzie, that is so cool that you were able to find your friend. I hope you get to spend some time together soon. Angela, yay a/c!!! Michelle, I hope he gets home soon. I am sorry that your dd is old enough to realize the time he is away. Kat, I am certain someone is going to get a butt-chewing for putting Kinsey on the wrong bus. Jeez. A big, pink sign around her neck AND she was telling them...sorry, but that is just incompetent. Our students, even in grade 5, have a piece of yarn on their booksacks all year long, that show the color of their bus. We also have a rule that they go home the same way every day, unless a note is sent. It keeps the students safe. Tracy, I hope that spray works for your cat. Oh, and pets, my dh is in Chicago at a workshop and my dd spent the night at LSU with her friend, so my doggie was moping Wednesday night. Well, she won't eat and gets sick when she does this, so I returned home yesterday to a nasty, gross, mess on her and in her room:sad: I had to clean her and scrub the floor. She never did this before, but we have never had more than one family member leave at once. Fortunately, dd was home last night, even though dh was still gone, so she is acting a little better. My poor parents had a boston terrier that did that every time they were gone overnight. It was not a pretty sight.

He is going to be like a little kid on Christmas morning!

Angela, i am with you on worrying about those boys at practice. I understand that it is important, but really, hours in this heat is awful! We had a highschool over here that moved their practice from 5 to 3, so it could start right after school was out. Well, the first day they had to send EMS out there because of heat exhaustion. Oh, and I certainly hope your a/c gets fixed today. Well, I had to turn a child in for suspected abuse on monday. The parent hit her with a belt and left numerous marks on her arm. Teachers are mandatory reporters and if we see marks, we have to report. I felt bad for my student, because she thought she had done something wrong. CPS came and took the report yesterday, but I have know idea what will come of it. Uh, Oh, I need to go get dressed for work. Have a good day all!

Cold? Hmmm...I don't quite know what that is...Trying to think and test the limits of my brain. Nope, it's no use; don't know what that is. I hope work gets better.
-
I think using this time off to refocus your attention to your health and needs is a wonderful idea. I would advise the 5 day pouch test. You can use it to de-carb yourself and get the feeling of what "full" means again. Good luck.

I just read it on yahoo too. Then I saw Alex posted it also. Michelle: I hope things work out for your sister and the restraining order actually does some good.

Amy, you are my hero! I love reading your blog and recommend it to others all the time. you have done an amazing job and have much to be proud of. -
Happy 50th to you, Kat!!! It sounds like you had a good time on your trip. Suzie, Chilis with friends-I agree, always a good time:thumbup:; Bra-shopping, never good for me:crying:. Good luck hunting tomorrow. Oh, and a drive-in? We don't have any around here. The last one I know of my dh and I went two when we were dating over 20 years ago. Have fun! I think that movie, with all of the action stars in it, will either kick major butt or be a terrible fail. Let me know how you like it.

Well, ready or not, I started already. As usual, the start of school is hectic. I just got home 30 minutes ago.
-
Tracy, get a good night's sleep. You will do great tomorrow.
