    Unfill!!!

You can definitely have a complete unfill. People do it all the time for various reasons. You sound like you are still too tight, and that isn't a good way to stay. Get the unfill, let the swelling in your stomach subside, and then evaluate where you are with your band. If you feel you can eat too much and are gaining, you can always get a small fill.

    Off topic....want your input

At my school the teachers stay with their students during lunch. We have approximately 15-20 minutes of actual eating time (this is why I drink soup each day). The students need to eat during the first 10 min. and then they are allowed to talk after they are finished eating. This insures that they don't get so involved in conversations that they forget to eat. Our cafeteria is never silent. I would be slightly frightened if I ever walked in and heard a pin drop, and the sitting on one side of a table is creepy.

    Any Regrets After Lap Band?

I was on Nexium daily prior to my banding. I didn't take anything at all for GERD again until a month ago. Now, I take something only if I eat too late at night for occasional heartburn.

Yes, I am a teacher and I returned to work on Aug. 10th! We start sooooo early down here. I handle the teacher's room by staying out of it. It isn't hard since I teach elementary and I don't really have breaks! I also eat with the students, so I don't have the ability to have a relaxed lunch where I can actually take time and chew my food. So, I eat breakfast at home and for lunch I just have a Campbells soup-at-hand. I can just drink it. Then, while I watch my students at recess, I eat a protein added chewy bar. For dinner, I usually just eat whatever hubby cooks (lucky thing gets home before I do!) On the way home I also usually get my Starbucks drink. Good luck on returning to school and pack healthy snacks to keep you from grabbing donuts from the lounge!

    Any Regrets After Lap Band?

It is different for everyone. Some people take 3 or more fills to have any decent restriction, but I had a little restriction just from having the band placed. But, more than that, I would place the amount I was SUPPOSED TO EAT on my plate and I ate it slowly, as instructed. I found that by the time I finished, I was satisfied. Not stuffed, but satisfied. You will need to practice a little self control until you get restriction. The band helps, but it won't do it all for you. I have only had two small fills in a little over a year. I can eat almost anything I want, just a lot less of it. Some people like to be fairly tight, but I don't.

I love, love, love taco soup. I make mine in the crockpot and use black beans in addition to the others. I serve it with ff sour cream and reduced fat cheddar. It is super yummy!!!

    TURKEY DAY Challenge 2009

Well, I didn't make my Labor Day goal, but I did just break an almost 4 month plateau...so, maybe I can make this one. If I do make this goal, I will be at 100lbs lost. I am in when the spreadsheet gets created.

THANK YOU! I always just think that the fat is filling in the wrinkles. My face has always been fairly "round". I must say that I don't feel 41 on most days. Before banding, I rarely felt under 60! The abuse I put on my poor body, carrying all the weight was awful.

Got to get my eyes on the prize!!!

I don't have my band adjusted very tight, so I am able to eat pretty much anything I want, just a lot less of it. I have not tried lettuce or doughy bread, but I have eaten everything else I did prior to my surgery. I eat 1200-1500 calories on most days and have a Protein intake of 60-80g. Example: I now eat 1 slice of a thin crust pizza, instead of 3-4 pieces of a large. I eat 1/2 of an omelet and one pancake, instead of 3 eggs, with 3 pancakes and toast (formerly my order at IHOP).

I see that now. :thumbup:I couldn't find what I was looking for on there at first, but then I discovered the forums! That is where the info really is!
  20. WOW, I am sorry to hear about your problem, but that happened to me. I had been banded about 3 months, had lost 40lbs and began having severe migraines at the end of October. I also began having heavier cramps. I DID NOT make the connection. I went to my gynecologist and my uterus was abnormally large. I am 41 and already had two kids, so I chose the option of a hysterectomy. The migraines continued through November and stopped after having my hysterectomy in December. I didn't realize the migraines were hormonal until they stopped after my surgery. Please try to see your doctor to see if you can find a solution. I hope you feel better soon.

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Ok, I kept looking on her website and Dotti is amazing. There are forums there that have links to explain everything from how many points you need and how to follow the plan. New Program - Dotti's Weight Loss Zone Message Board FlexPoints and other basic information; also Fast Track - Dotti's Weight Loss Zone Message Board "Simply Filling" food List, etc - Dotti's Weight Loss Zone Message Board I still think it is better to use the WW website if you can afford it, but with my children returning to high school ($450 just in supply and teacher fees in two weeks), I am BROKE at the moment.

For anyone not able to join yet, here is a little help for restaurant points: Dotti's Weight Loss Zone - DWLZ Restaurants I also was able to download a WW points calculator from downloads.com. I used it to calculate the points of the foods that I eat on most days.

    Ghosts...

New, that is a great story. I very often feel someone sit on the bed and then no one is there. It was kind of unnerving when it first happened, but now it doesn't really bother me.
  25. I am glad to hear you are home. Stay on your doses of pain meds and nausea meds as long as you need them. It will help you feel better! Also, move around as much as possible to get the gas moving out!
