    Wheres My June Bandsters??

Hi everyone. Surgery was the 13th, all went well, except I got sick from the anethesia (even though they gave me something). Was glad I spent the night in the hospital. Been dealing with nausea and shoulder pain and today finally feel like getting on my pc. The pain pills have helped and the GasX strips too. Welcome to all the new bandsters and the bandsters to come. We do keep this forum busy! I love that we all share, it helps all of us.

    Wheres My June Bandsters??

Today is day 6th on my liquid diet. Just one more day to go. It is getting harder, but so far I have only had ONE frito and ONE elbow macaroni. On my second day of my diet, my boss took everyone to an Italian restaurant. I got a salad with a vineigrate on the side. Thank goodness I can have raw veggies! Then I got stir crazy the other night and we went to Lone Star. My husband had ribs and I had a dinner salad. (All their big salads had meat so my husband only ate half of his salad and gave the rest to me.) I didn't touch the bread, which is usually the first thing I grab. At this point I know I am here because I do not eat correctly and I am determined to change. I refuse to let my new lifestyle keep me at home. I just have to make healthy choices when eating out. I want to thank each and every one of you. I read and read and read these forums. They are packed full of ideas and it is always good to know someone else is sharing your pain...lol

    Wheres My June Bandsters??

I will be staying in the hospital overnight. My Dr said my insurance treats 23 hrs the same as outpatient, so it could be due to your insurance. My Dr's office is connected to the hospital so it makes it handy for him. I too appreciate everyone reporting on their progress. Thank you for taking the time to report when you are not feeling really up to it. June 13tth is my day!!!!

The more you are able to move, the quicker the soreness will go away. My surgery is June 13th so I will be joining the ranks soon! Good luck to all!!!
  15. Donna, keep us posted. I have a feeling I will be going through the same thing you are when I start my pre-op diet on Wednesday. I am interested in what your Dr has to say to you. Take care of yourself and remember your journey is just starting to a thinner you!
