Thank you. It's very emotional for some reason. I see pix of before when I was very obese and I get so mad at myself for letting myself go. I don't want to ever feel bad like that.

Has anyone had dr lee au at Tri city regional?

I have my surgery scheduled there and with him. But I'm reading some shady stories about this place. I went through 1-800-GET-THIN. -
Has anyone had dr lee au at Tri city regional?
Britneygirl replied to Britneygirl's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi all. I have to agree about the pain when the dr pushes my port in and feels around w his fingers for the plunger on mu port. It is so sensitive there. I see dr au every month and he is worth the trip to Beverly hills. He pretty much gives me a fill when I ask for one. I have lost 45 pounds including pre op. I was banded November 4,2011. Dr au tells me that at the rate I'm losing, I will see my goal in about 6 months. I am getting a lot of compliments now and I can finally see te change in my self. I have a neck again and my big belly is now a tiny spare tire. I'm in love w the new me. Good luck to all of you who are on this wonderful journey. Don't b on a hurry. Take lots of pictures and do lots of before and after side by sides (photo frames ap) every month. I wish I can share mine. I don't know how to post. Can anyone help me post a pic -
Insurance Will Only Pay For 80% If They Approve
Britneygirl replied to Krystyneh's topic in Insurance & Financing
I would be careful w those program fees. In my opinion that s just a sneaky way for drs offices to get more money from those of us who hav insurance and don't have to pay anything. My office required a $1200 program fee that they demand before they scheduled my surgery. I didn't have it and I made a big complaint to the office manager and asked why I had to pay that much and I ended up having it waived (they never mentioned it again.) so ask questions before u pay that. I think drs know how bad people want this surgery so they capitalize on it. Beware of these fees. U are having a medically necessary surgery. So why "program fees"? -

Well that there does make sense. I guess that was why I was given a 14 cc band. I just got my 7th fill yesterday. I'm at 11ccs now. I dont know how it feels yet cuz I'm on liquid til Sunday. But I think I'm now very tightly filled. Which is what I need. I'm pretty sure with yesterday's fill that I'm now in green zone territory.

FINALLY! I am 5 months out and 30 pounds lighter. But I have been wondering when I would get here. Im not having trouble getting anything down and I have 10 ccs in my 14cc band. I eat 4 ounces and fell full for over 5 hours. Ive lost 4 pounds in one week. I still have to make smart food choices to utilize this wonderful device to it's fullest. I jest now realized how this all works. It's been a wonderful journey getting here. I almost lost focus and gave up on this journey a few times. But I jumped back and now the plan is coming together. #excited@

Yeah I feel tight in the morning when I drink my pills and eat my yogurt. But by lunch I'm good. And if I don't chew good then my band screams at me to slow down. This is awesome for me. I am excited to get on the scale every morning. I'm never hungry anymore Like I was In the beginning. I love my band.

It's all over the news that she had WLS #2. From what I know and seen. I think RNY surgery is temporary and Anyone I know who had it done are all morbidly obese again. Which is horrible considering they lost half of a perfectly functioning organ for nothing. I almost had RNY but I am happy that I didn't. I think carnie Wilson made the right choice and she's such a huge inspiration to me. I would love to hear about her journey. I hope this new journey is a wonderful and successful one for her. I think she's beautiful either way. Let your new Life begin Carnie!

Thank u all. It does feel great. But it's scary at the same time. The lingering thought of " I hope this thing really works and does wat it's supposed to, because I have a lot to lose" is always in the back of my mind. But my determination is soaring.

Im a slow loser but not giving up. Especially now that I'm down to 197. Far From goal but close to hitting my sweet spot. Once I get my next fill I'll b there and I think I'll begin a steady loss. I'm 3 months out and only lost 20 pounds. I need some motivation stories.

Lilah how did ur surgery go? -
Thank you all for your posts on this thread. Ur words and thoughts stay with me through out the day. And it motivates me and keeps me on track. I have been doing better at this with y'all. Another cool thing I wanna share is that I used to hate weighing myself daily bcuz it was never In my favor to do so. But lately I can't help myself to not do it. Bcuz I keep losing each time.

@nicksmom~ thank you for the motivation and encouragement. I just found out by my dr. That my thyroid was way out of range which was effecting my weight loss. Dr said I'm going to start dropping weight rapidly now that he adjusted my Rx and mostly bcuz of my new band. Im starting to see the light.

I had the same outbreak after I thought I had done damage to my newly implanted band. I wolfed down a piece of chicken and felt awful after. Still haven't lost weight. But I'm only 3 1/2 weeks post op. After reading these stories I know I'm not alone. It's so hard in the beginning.

Haha. Yeah I probably should have BUT I did have my surgery through this company and I have no complaints at all. They are very efficient and got me approved and banded within 3 months wait period. My surgeon dr au was great. And he his work is great. He left my scars very minimal to where they will b invisible within a year. I'm not sure why 1-800-GET-THIN has such s bad rep. But what I can say is dont believe all you hear, trust your instincts and go wherever they make u feel most comfortable. -

I took 2 nibbles of bread and started coughing. And I'm curious how this happens when all I have is the empty band on me. I am 14 days post op with no restriction. Why must I do liquids??? Grrrr!

Lina- i Had the same exact fears and doubts you r having. I felt that just because I wanted this so bad that it wasnt gonna happen for me. I was in nervous wreck up until they were actually putting my iv on. U will be fine. If there were anything in the way of you having the surgery, they would hav told you already. Enjoy your moment and dont stresss. I wish you all the best. It's going to b fine. -
