Hi my name is Lillian and about almost 2yrs I started thinking about having the lapband done went in for a consult and because of being a diabetic and obese insurance covers at 100% but I debated and then started a new job so I just left the thought on the back burner. Then in June 2011 I decided it's time to better my health. So I called my Dr's office and got the ball rolling. I completed all consults I needed and then surgery was scheduled for Oct. 26 2011. I'm pretty determined so I started changing my eating habits and started walking and I lost about 15lbs then I get a phone call from Dr's office asking if I would like to move my surgery up a month and I was like YES!!! I happy and pleased to say it's done had my surgery last Wednesday September 28th 2011. It's been good so far. Very sore in the beginning but getting better and easier with each day. I wasn't sure if I would be able to handle just liquids but I am doing very well and in just one week I can see a huge difference so I am excited to see the end result in a year. I know I have a ways to go and I need to up my exercise but hopefully with this determination I have I will get to a better and healthier me.
