I have been considering the Lap Band for many years, but never had the courage to pursue it. I have fought my weight all of my life it seems and really I finally started praying about it and asked God to guide me in what to do.  I told God that if this was His plan for me then I would open up my  heart and my mind, and let Him open the doors for me.  After that, there really were no major hurdles for me, and all the doors have been opened.  My surgery date was 9/13/11 and so far I have lost 15 pounds.  I truly almost cried tears of joy everytime I stepped on the scale the first few weeks after surgery when I saw the lbs coming down.  That has never happened before for me.  I never saw results like this before, and these results have kept me motivated to work out and eat healthy!  I am so excited for this journey, and I cannot say that I have ever been excited about weight loss before!  I am so encouraged by my devotion to my goals towards my weight loss and exercise and the ultimate goal of being healthy. My family has been very supportive and we are all eating healthier together!  I thank God everyday for opening the doors so that I was able to have my surgery, and for changing my entire outlook on weight loss, exercise, and eating healthy.  I know there will be bumps in the road, but I am looking forward to the entire experience and working through them.  I cannot wait to see the plans that God has for me!
