Thanks Jennifur, I thought it may have been me imagening it! Dave I dont have restriction now (I was banded on the 2nd), but Im sticking to the quanitity that I had after surgery, about 1/2 cup to one cup of food per meal x 3 small meals a day. I can feel hunger, but I just keep drinking fluid. My fills not until the 12th May, we'll get there, try and stick with it, and just think in 4 weeks it will be restricted. Its not bothering me at the mo, as much as it used too re wanting to eat food. -

Hi All! Well I made it through a 13hr day at work!! Feel knackard, but it'll get easier Tracy, how your other half today? Maybe Terrys right, and you ought to keep a away abit from him? Has he sweated it out yet? Cor Tracy just saw the list of all of banded so far, theres masses of us!! WOW Terry hey thoughs charts are cool!! Ive been keeping a written journal of what Ive ben eating and the cal content (basically incase my dietician wants to see it, I have to see her in 4 weeks time when I get my 1st fill), but its a really good idea! Laura & Dynamo, Im pleased youve both made it through the op ok, it does hurt, but I promise you by day 4 it will be a lot less painful, when I had the op, I though why didnt anyone tell me it was gonna be this painful?? But everyones different and some people hardly get any pain. Your 'band sisters now!' Dynamo some people do put a lot of fluid on after the op, and scales do show it, just depends on your circulation, it will go soon enough Sara xx -

Hi guys, its the wrong time of the month for me, I feel sooo irratible, dont normally get as bad as this. Had a really full day yesterday it was my youngests B'day, and I entertained my family for dinner, just felt relly exhusted :faint: Today I went to see my Dr and Ive started the smoking pills today (Zyban there called) I thought Id have to give up straight away, but no, I have to give up next Thursday until they are in my system (& I then take 2 a day instead of 1). Tell you after having time off, I just want to stay at home now lol, help!! Early start tomorrow 05.30 and back at 7pm oh boy, there must be an easier way of making a living. I also realised today that I have to take an exam in 3.5 weeks time, and Its only now i can study for it as I finished the mega report off the other day. Sorry....Moan moan!! Panda thats great your feeling really motivated getting active, and you Teach too. I must motivate myself, just feeling sorry for myself at the mo (cant wait for this pms to go!) Good luck tomorrow Jullee !! Hugs Sara -

Hi Pam, Re: Diet Ok yesterday I had: B'fast: 1 Weetabix/milk/sweetner Lunch: Ice lolly (not typical!) normally I'd have soup Dinner: Corn beef hash: serves 2 meals In a small bread tin add: 1. Baked beans (3 tbls) 2.1/2 inch thick slice of corned beef (Place over beans-2 slices will cover the tin) 3. Cover with a thin layer of mashed potatoe Bake until slightly crisp on the top: This is mushie but very tasty food! Snack: Will have a low fat rice pot, or yougart with a pured fruit drizzled over it. The other main meal could be ground mince beef in a tomatoe sauce over mashed potatoe. Were talking small amonts (2 tbls spoons of mash, 2 of mince) Sara x -

I absolutely agree with you all about having an up beat positive attitute:clap2: . I get weary of negative people that go on all the time, maybe its because they feel bad about themselves?; I found before I had this surgery so many of my colleagues tried to talk me out of it, and people airing their personal views over it, you know, youve just got to follow your heart, and let them be, its their problem not ours. You know guys, I love being part of our group on here, its a place of solice, and one which I can share my deepest thoughts and fear with you all, laugh, and shed a tear. I value everyone of you, I consider you all my friends, and I dont know what I would have done with out you all over the last month. I'm always looking forward to reading posts . I am so looking forward to see how we all do over this coming year, summer is around the corner now, and its going to be wonderful to know that were all changing physically, getting fitter and healthier! Well Im back to work tomorrow too, I sort of want too, but on the other hand I dont, lol, Im sure once I get back into the swing of it, it will be fine!! Love Sara xx P.s Ictexas: the charm idea, is that you set yourself goals, and each goal you reach, you buy a charm for your bracelet to mark your weight loss journey i.e mine was after 14 lbs I bought the bracelet, then every 7 lbs I buy a charm! ....everyones deciding on their 'goals' weight loss differently, but the up shot is, we'll all have a gorgeous bracelet at the end of it, and when we look at it, each little charm equals a lot of determination and hard work of our weight loss journey, which will be special to you x -

Laura, Margi & ard Good Luck Tomorrow! We'll be thinking of you, and you'll be in our prayers xx Please let us know how you get on..... Tracy, hmmm that meeting must have been weird to attend with a lot of mixed negative messages, I did laugh when you described a past aquaintance! (she sounds a bag of fun...not!) I'm going to my 1st one on April the 28th up in London, its quite a way a awy from me, and I am a bit aprehensive because Ive never gone to anything like that either. Ictexas, thats a fantastic amount of weight loss, 10lbs, congrats! Shineon, you sound like your doing really well. :clap2: Jennifer...welcome back home! Take it real easy for the first few days x Hi Rachel675, welcome to the April group dont worry about having a hight BMI a lot of us do! Judy those charms are just gorgeous! I looked at the angel one its sooooo sweet!! Bubbles, a few days more and the gas will all be gone, I didnt get the 'burps' so much, maily shooting pains in my shoulders with me (gas getting trapped) its such a blessing when it all goes! You'll get there!! Christy, Im pleased your ok, wow your healing quick if you were able to go out and shop etc the day after surgery, I was a real lame duck after my banding! lol, I just drifted in and out of sleep for 3 days. 369power, welcome to the group, and congrats getting banded this month....I think April is a GREAT month to be banded Sara xx -

:clap2: Dear All, Wellcome to all the new members of the group(Pinkybar & Gonnabefree), its great to see you all on here. Chinchila, Im pleased your surgery went ok, take things real easy for the 1st few days though wont you? Well :cheer2: today I bought my charm braclet!!!! Its gorgeous!! It wasnt the one I originally wanted, but the sweetie braclet wouldnt hold 14 charms (and that is the number I'll need to take me to my goal) so I bought there signiture charm braclet http://www.linksoflondon.com/online-shop/women/bracelets/267-signature-bracelet Braclet = 14 lbs lost (= 1 stone in weight) Charm = 7 lbs lost there after Its a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I love it, as as the Loreal adverts say....'Im worth it' lol. I looked at the charms too in the shop, omg they are just so sweet too! I told the shop assistant I was hoping to buy a charm every month? (each 7lbs lost) she said they send it away for each charm to be soldered on, which takes about a week each time, so it looks like I'll be visiting that jewellers x 2 month then!! Pam, You must be so excited about getting your car, I certainly would be!! Wow!! Terry that gym sounds wonderful, Im gonna start doing gental exercising next week x 3 weekly, well that's my goal.....just got to make myself get into a routien. Jennifur, well done on not too many lbs on while youve been away, I know when I go away on hols or work conferences its real hard as every eats and drinks all sorts of goddies! Have a lovely Sunny Saturday everyone xxxx Hugs Sara -

Dear All, Thank you for all of your advice, which I will certainly heed!! Ive just had soup tonight, Ive only had 300 cals today intotal (nearly 11pm here now). I got too confident after yesterday, and both my daughters said I should only be having pured food, ie mash potatoe, but I thought well once its all chewed it goes into mush anyway :rolleyes ...how wrong am I!! So Im going to follow the instructions to the letter now!!!!!! I was not a pretty sight flapping my arms about, sophie thought I was doing some sort of bird impression, in a mad mother moment, it must have looked ridiculous though:phanvan Christy congrats to you and hubby getting banded, take things easy Tracy glad to hear you have water, and the pipe situation is finally being mended Ive finished my report off, all 108 pages.....and Im going to relax over this weekend, and enjoy what time I have left before I go back to work.....Oooooo I wish I had another 2 weeks off!! -

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! TO Househuntress & Bwaydiva! :clap2: You got through it!! Just take it real easy, by day 4 I was feeling a bit better househuntress, it does take it out of you, it did me too, but each day you'll feel better and better . Bwaydivia, I would have thought swallowing your pills would be ok, on the first morning after the op the nurse made me swallow a pill, cant remember what it was for either?? Wow, Laura, that is so exciting having a house built, youve got so much to look forward too, decorating etc!! Well, after yesterday I thought Id go careful with what I ate. I had a tiny amount of cottage cheese & pinapple, then later on in the day I had some mushie rice and a sweet n sour sause with tiny choped up chicken pieces in, I thought Id be ok........NOT.....as I swallowed the rice it got stuck in my osephagus, I tried to take another mouthful thinking it would go down, I then had this terrible pain in my strunum, I flapped my arms about (as Id heard this is supposed what to do if food gets stuck) my daughter was sitting on the setee in the kitchen, and burst out laughing, as I was stomping around flapping my arms, trying to breath normally, anyway I ran to the kitchen sink (Im sorry if this is too graphic folks) and coughed, all this slim or fluid came up, then I coughed more and the food came back up until I was sick.....OMG....I am back on soup....(I havent even had a fill, what is going on, what if this happns to me at work next week, I'll die!). Im not eating soft rice again maybe Im over confident, has anyone else had this happen to them yet ...Terry...Pam???? Sara x -

Thanks for the stress suggestions guys it is something Im going to have to watch very carefully :phanvan Terry I think yoga is a good idea, Im going to have to find something that I can do secretly when Im in an office enviroment, Pam, this report is like doing my masters again, its from a yr long project, Im going to try and finish it today, Im hoping theres only 4 more pages to write, its just writing accademically which flows, its all medical terminology, so its hard to write :cry and Ive put it off to the last minute!! (thank goodness Ive been at home!!) Speak soon, Sara xx -

Dear All, Firstly congratulations Michelle!! That is WONDERFUL NEWS I am SO pleased for you, what an up and down week youve had!! Pam, you have done SO well losing 19lbs, gosh, thats incredable!! Ive only lost 14 lbs to date, Im hoping next week to shift another 2 lbs.... Sorry I havent posted for a while :phanvan Well, I think I told you ages ago I was trying to write this document (up to 115 pages of it now) yesterday was awful. I got SO stressed, which triggered me to eat more, and sins of sins I kind of tried to binge as I was so stressed. Things is what I did....:embarassed: 1. Ate a handful of dry roasted nuts that dave had left on the table 2. 2 handful of M&M chocholate sweets sophie left lying around 3. Ate a handful of mini square cheese biscuts 4. Had 150mls of red wine!!!!!! 5. smoked double the amount of cigarettes I normally do Normally I would have devored the whole bags of these things, but I couldnt, I ate them so quickly when I swallowed them, it felt like I was swallowing golf balls, and I had to suddenly swallow fluid to try and ease it down. Oh man :think ....... Im not going to do it again, but when I get high stress levels what shall I do??? HELP me here guys, Im going to face these levels more and more once I go back into reality of my work world. Maybe I need to buy stress beads or something? Im going to start exercise next week, I go see my Dr on Tuesday for my tablets to give up smoking, so Im hoping the exercise will destress me?? I have experienced feeling hungry Terry and Shine on, and I did eat more (small portions though, like an extra mullar low fat rice dessert) Im goning to have to really watch what I eat soon I think. But I now know, that stress is my MAJOR trigger GOOD LUCK to all of you today geting Banded, our prayers are with you xxxxxxx Sorry for the moan guys, Love Sara xx -

Hi Teacher, You could always give them a phone for piece of mind, prior to you leaving? I wouldnt have thought it would affect a fill though, as its just a saline injection in your port, Id give them a bell though, at least then you know you havent driven 90 miles for nothing. Hope you feel better soon, Sara x -

Wow, there's sooooo much to catch up on, on here!! :biggrin1: LOVE IT!! Welcome back home Judy (TEACHLADY)from surgery, I'm so pleased your ok, just take it real easy for the next few days, and every day you'll start to fel beter and beter x Laura, I'd definately take note of the breathing exercises they give you, if it wasnt for everyone on here telling me what to practice re breathing exercises I would have ended up at my Drs, they really do help. I'm seeing my GP(Dr) next Tuesday, I still smoke, I've tried to give it up so many times, anyway I saw the GP 3 weeks pre surgery etc, and she wouldnt give me the course of smoking tablets (to give up) prior surgery, but told me to cut down to half of what I was smoking so from 20 to 10, which I did, and she said to see her 2 weeks post op for the pills to give up. Its got to come within to want to give up as you know, and only you know when you are ready. I need a fresh start and get rid of all of my addictions (food, ciggs and getting active again) so the smoking one is my next challenge.....:rolleyes ....so next week, Im sure I might be a bit tetchy as the nicotine starts to withdraw... Launasa great to hear from you! I felt the same way as you did pre surgery, about food, in fact it was that that was worrying me more than the surgery, its weird you know, because Im not thinking of food at all, Kats right, your in for a nice surprise once youve had the band...I'll be amazed if it worrys you at all (its like a magic wand is waved, and any cravings, etc for food are gone!!) Havent experienced Food Hell yet, I must ask Kat about that bit. Kat when do we experience this food hell experience? I'm 10 days post op now, I've only felt hungry once (a day or 2 ago) but it was after i made this lovely lasanga for my parents on the return home from there trip. I get my 1st fill on the 12th of April (so thats in another 4 weeks). I must say, my diet is changeing a little bit, Ive started eating bolonase (made with mince) eating over a little pasta (ut were talking a very small bowlful of mince over 7 pasta twists) and I chew them till they are disintergrated. Will this feeling hit me soon do you think, is there a typical kick in time? Fluffy welcome to our group!! Its great to meet you, keep up with posting on here Gr8ful HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY 5th April!!!!!!!!! wow fancy having your surgery on your Birthday!! Well I reckon this will be the best birthday present anyone can recieve, this time next year on your birthday you will be sooooooo different, slim, & full of life!! :clap2: Jennifer wow, that is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! losing 31 lbs!!!!! you must be so proud of yourself, way to go girl!!! Panda, I think pampering yourself is an exelent idea and going to Disney...that will be just fantastic (Ive only been to Euro Disney in Paris when the kids were little, and I doubt Paris is a patch on the USA one) Well my end goal, when I hit 140lbs, is to come over to the US, I would just love to go to NY again on a shopping trip That, my friend will be mighty big bucks, LOL, once I hit those shops I will be like a dynamo!!!! (wearing my charm braclet by the way!!
