Hi All, Just been reading all of the latest updates! Been working away again, I'm worried, all I seem to do is want to eat everything I can at the moment, in 2.5 weeks Im having the surgery, what am I going to do? I wanted to lose 14lbs prior surgery, I could probably do it if I followed SBD or the lighter life sachets for 14 days prior surgery, but heck that like kicks in on this Sunday then it will be 14 days before surgery, Ive got to focus :pray: I was also reading everyones feelings,and worries....I too have turned into a recluse as in I dont want to go anywhere (resteraunts etc) or go into wimne bars etc, my friend said 'sara when you lose weight you'll get your confidence back and feel differently about yourself' I sure hope so folks...I hope we all do, those of us that feel insecure, its like my fat is a protection blanket..weird.... Thanks for posting the April 06 bandsters Tracy, that is realy encouraging to see, and is a real motivationer too take care all...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY PAM!! :girl_hug: Do you know what I do with my hubby now re birthdays and christmas? Well....lol, let me tell ya, I lok around in my favorite shops etc, then I take him along and I say 'I want that one for my birthday, xmas etc' and say...shall we go in and buy it now? Or, I cut out pics in magazines, or catalogs and say these are the things I like/want.....and leave it up to him to buy which one he feels like. One christmas, when we were first married, I explained that my parents always used to do 'stockings' ok for christmas eve...so I said oh lets do one for each other....so christmas morning arrived, all excitedly I opend my stocking...do you know what was in it?????? There was a packet of mints, flee powder (the flat we had just bought had flees in from the cat they had) a miniture bottle of egg nog stuff etc....well I was :censored: mad to say the least...ever since then, I have to prompt him and kindly/directly show what I consider nice! Sad state of affairs, but after 20 years it works quite well now.....lol Tammy and all of you having surgery this week 'Big Hugs' let us know how it goes for you all ok :girl_hug:

Hi All :wow2: there are loads of having the op in the 1st week of April, does anyone still have a list? Tracy do you still have a list still? Well last night met up with a load of girlfriends, we ordered masses of chinese food, my eyes are bigger than my stomach!! Just think folks....only 3 weeks to go :girl_hug:

Gosh synicalchick, I hope your feeling a bit better, that sounds terribly painful. Kyathera, I'd get some liquid gaviscon or mallox, or ask your Dr for a proton pump inhibitor pill or a H2 blocker (re GERD) so that it doesnt cause you any pain after the op.

I'm always a page behind when I post on these boards! Nervous Terridoodle .... I think I will be in a weeks time and its 2 weeks away....infact....I hope it doesnt trigger me off eating more...you know like a comfort thing, I was talking to this girl yesterday, and she was telling me what she eats, I was like wow....thats like nothing???

Panda, you and your mum and myself are all having surgery on the same day...its great!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness I have you both!! :girl_hug: Its not long now, and I cant wait (am I mad?) Tracy, how the dickens are you, we've missed you, hope you are ok!! Its great to see you back! Well I had an amazing call today...I found a lady who had surgery 9 months ago with the same surgeon Im going to, in the uk, she called me on the phone and invited me to a small group meeting of Bandsters in London, for the end of April...I am soooooooo excited!! :cake: Keep in touch all of you xx

Hi All, Pleased your surgery went well Sophie, that must have been bizar seeing neibours in the next bed to you, scary in fact (or chance in 1000's!) Im pleased your surgery went ok Sugarbear, let us know how you get on in the first few days, look after yourself :girl_hug: Thanks Pam for the recipies, they sound really good, I was thinking of cooking up some batch soups later on this month for the begining of April. I've been yoyoing on my pre diet, when I read the threads on here maybe I should just follow a liquid diet for 3 weeks like some of you have? Been trying to up my exercise routine though, and Ive managed to cut back from 20 ciggs a day to 10 now.

Hi everyone !! Sorry I havent posted for ages, been on a course up in London.....my diets gone to shreads, and Im too knackard to exercise!! Darla your having surgery the same day as me .... exciting !... its only 3 weeks away...no time at all....help I need a plaster over my mouth, so I stop eating! Congrats Lara you got through it!! Hope your shopping trip (walk) goes ok, Just think this time tomorrow you'll be back hom at your boyfriends, curled up in bed getting over the op and the flight. You need some comforting things to look forward too, Id buy a load of magazines, a good book and a hot water bottle to snuggle up with ( those are the things I'll have ready I think after my op :myscared: ) take care Sara x

Hows everyone done this week with their personal goals? Ok this week I set myself a couple of targets 1. to exercise 2. cut down on ciggs: Ive managed to acheive the following: 1. Exercised x 2 this week: *Walked 40mins *40 mins of gym workout equiptment: 10 mins rower: 10mins elpitcal trainer (nearly died on that) 10 mins jogger (wel walked fast) 10 mins weights 2. Cut down from 20 ciggs per day to 10 per day: Next weeks goal that Im setting myself: 1. Exercise x 3 times per week 2. Cut out bread 3. Keep to 10 ciggs per day (& read Alan carr book - stop smoking) Have a great week folks! xx

I agree with you Jennifur re this forum, I love checking it now daily...I'm getting addicted to chatting to you all! (and knowing we'll all be here for each other) I feel like you all my buddies now Terridoddel...Ohh Ive been thinking about what you said about a fatty liver this evening, and how they have to lift it out of the way....Ive been wondering if to crash diet now for 4 weeks (Im trying to do slim fast x 2 then an evening meal) I know thats not been recomended to me by the dietician....but it is a bit worrying, Im imagening my liver is huge, lol, I hope its not too big though! OMG....what are the typical foods you cant eat anymore? You mentioned steak, tiger prawns (they are just delious!)...tell me more please...

Thanks for your advice SaggiJ, I will stock up with soups and slim fast, have about 10 days worth of LighterLife sachets too! lol...and I'll take your advice! Well losing 24lbs is practically 2 stones, thats fantastic! Where did you have your op? Im book in in Winchester, about a 2hr drive away
