I had my surgery October 12. It will be 3 weeks Wednesday and my back and below both ribs are still killing me. I saw my Dr. last Monday and he said that all was OK and that it would take time!!! But how long???? I was using the liquid Vicodin but the crap made me feel funny. Liquid Tylenol did not even dent the pain but 2 Motrin helped. What about you guys???? Any help!!??? Mark

I had surgery last Wednesday October 12 and every time I sip or now try to eat blenderized food, I feel kinda nauseated. Does this last very long? And is there anything to prevent this ? Thanks...... MARKW6

You are very attractive as you are and the lap band will not change your inner soul. Eating for me was also social....." Where are we going for breakfast......Where are we going for dinner...." With any procedure there are many hoops to jump through, many personal changes have to be made........ and remember...... The band is only a tool. I am still the same person inside my wife married 31 years ago only now I weight 300+ lbs. and have lost my hair........ I did it because ( I ) want to live longer...much longer....... you may be healthy now, but what about 5 years down the road? The band may prevent bad medical issues. The decision is yours......... My surgery was October 12th and I came home today. I was laughing and talking to the lady in the OR and the next thing you know, I am in recovery!!! Right away they had me sipping clear liquids, sucking on an Airspirator and walking around. I was OK for the first coulpe of hours until the gas pains hit...... WOW!!!! They gave me liquid Percosets which really helped. I am now home still sipping clear liquids and only the incisions hurt. I have been really sleeping both days so now I am off to bed....By the way .... I lost 29 lbs. on the 2 week liquid diet!!! MARKW6

T-Minus 2 Days......... Here We Go !!!!!!!!!!

I have my surgery on October 12th. I am insulin dependent and on a pump is also a challenge...... few carbs and taking insulin ...... it will be interesting. I have reduced my insulin dosage by 40% being on the liquid diet. I am looking forward to life's next journey........ MARKW
