I have been overweight most of my life. I have done practically every diet. Now I am at the point where I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acid reflux, and sleep apnea. I just can not do it by myself. So after many visits to my doctor, and the doctor at Abbott, I have decided to have the lap band surgery. I am hoping that this will be my "tool" or my "assistant" to shed this weight. Am I nervous - you bet. I have been trying to read and learn as much as possible. but am still nervous with the "unknown" of how it will affect me. I will be filling my cupboard with shakes, and other items on the "food list".
If anyone out there has any words of advice or helpful hints I would love to hear them. I am hoping that this surgery will aid me in becoming a "healthy" fun person getting to do the things I enjoy without "huffing and puffing" such as a bike ride, dancing, or even doing house work.
