I am glad to know that Sushi can be eaten. I can actually tolerate it pretty well. I was always scared of the raw due to potential food poision and vomiting. I know it can happen.....but is the risk low? Since being banded, I eat the non-raw rolls only....

Question...I have stated and stopped this program a couple of times...So far I am happy to say that I am walking/running every other day..... My first question: Do you really have to do the intervals as stated on the program. When I just jog as long as I can and then do a walk, it seems I go a longer distance and burn more calories....Do you all follow the program to a "tee"? My second question: I really don't get winded, but my legs tire out so easily which causes me not to go as far as I can...Is that normal? I have not introduced weight lifting in my program yet....Will this help? Any advice is welcome... Birdee

I have been banded of almost 5 years and I am still not at goal. :huggie: It tool me a very long time to get my head right. The band is a tool that I am indeed greatful for, but you still have to do "something" in order for it to work! I have never been the type of person to take care of myself, so this is very hard for me. I started it out at 235 and I got down to about 176 and lo and behold I got pregnant.:w00t: I am not regretting that for one bit. He is the son I always wanted.....Full term I weighed about 211. Currently I am 186. I would love to 140-150. My son will be 2 in June and I really would like to be 160 by then. I know what I have to do, but I can not get motivated to do it. I would rather just not eat at all then to have to work out and measure food and worry about Water intake. So my question is this, what do you use for motivation? It is very discouraging to see the weight just fall off of some bandsters...I am sure that everyone is not "playing by all the rules" so why couldn't I be that lucky???:cheers2: Anywho. I have committed to go to the Y on Monday for water aerobics....I hope that will help me to stay motivated and do what I have to do! I hope to get to meet you all here and we work to encourage one another!

The Calorie account does seem to be a little high. I love My daily Plate...it shows just about every type of food. What did you choose for your activity level? You can google BMR...I have heard some individuals on this sight refer others to that.... Hope that helps!

OK...so I have noticed that when I get in the recommended amount of Water 64oz + my stomach/pouch is a lot looser than normal. I can eat more and I don't stay full as long. On days when I am not so good on the water I am really tight. I can hardly eat! Has anyone experienced this? I hope I am not the only one. It bothers me. Unfortunately I am one of the bandsters that need to be RESTRICTED to stay on track most days. Let me know your experiences.... When I mentioned it to my doctor yesterday he looked at me like he had never heard that before.....

Ok...Maybe I am just crazy. Or, prehaps I was never at the right restriction....I am not sure, but I think it's weird......

How much protein are you getting in...not that I am an expert....but I can tell a difference in the scale when I am on target with my protein....60 grams.... Just a thought.... -
When I was originally banded my insurance paid for all of the surgery and fills....my "new" insurance does not pay for crap! My fills are $150.00 My office visits are $65.00 I guess it could be worse!

I try for 800-1000 a day. I almost always go over on the weekends.....:biggrin: But I guess that too keeps the body guessing!!!

OK...Yesterday was a werid day! I think I am going to have to up my CARB intake on workout days. I almost passed out at the Y yesterday!!!! B-Low Carb Slim Fast L-@ Crab Rangoons(Chinese Foods) and less than half of my shrimp in garlic sauce, 1 TBLS rice D-3oz of roast and 2 tablespoons of Brocolli & cheese S-I Tablespoon of peanut butter-As soon as I got home for the Y. I thought I was going to DIE!!! When I read all of my LB stuff from my surgeon, he promotes the low carb thing. He tells us to eat the meat first, if you are still hungry go for the veggies and to avoid starches. I am at a loss with all this...That's why I got the band...so I would just eat very small portions of everything and forget about it!!!! :biggrin: So I have decided to throw in a granola bar on the days I work out so I won't have that passing out feeling again!!! I have lost 3 pounds. Not sure since when since I am getting over my cycle!

If you are at goal, near goal, or steadily loosing weight, please share what you are eating and what your workouts consist of. Right now, I am doing low carb/working out at least 3 times a week at the YMCA. I have not weighed due to my TOM I know I will not get an accurate weight. Thanks!

My eating plans changed today. I had... B-Vanilla Low Carb Slim Fast L-1/2 Taco salad no shell, tomatoes and sour cream on the side D-1/2 of southwestern salad from Chick Fil-A Took out carrots, tomatoes, almost all of the corn/black bean "stuff" only had 1/2 of the tortilla stips, ate all the chicken. Water 56 ounces...will try to get in more before bed. Just don't want to have to worry about the bathroom in the middle of the night. Went to the Y for 55 mins of cardo 25 on the bike 30 on the treadmill

Was doing good yesterday....was working late and grabbed a handful of chips!!!!!!! Oh well.....All I can do is do better today. Dinner last night was 11/2 piece of fish and a slice of cheese.... Ok calorie wise. Did more carbs than I would have liked to. I am so-o-o lethargic!!!! I am hoping that will soon pass!!! TODAY B-Low Carb Slim Fast L- Grilled Chicken Salad??? All the chicken less than 1/2 of the salad with ranch dressing. D-??? Going to the Y today!

I bombed so bad this weekend.....It could have been worse...Here we go...:crying: Friday...did good all day. Went and cooked at a friends and had a couple of spoons of macaroni & cheese, peach cobbler. I did not go overboard so I am excited about that... Saturday B Slim Fast L 1/2 cup of green beans S- 3 strips of bacon D-12 wingettes with ranch-This was a late dinner. I did not eat enough through out the day and got very hungry SWEET Tea- only one cup of water Sunday B-Grande Peppermint white chocolate Mocha-no whip/non-fat-I thought I was doing something by making this a lighter drink...uh-h-h no...The carbs are a KILLER! L-2 Vienna Sausages D-11/2 fried chicken thigh from Popeye's no water only Kool-Aid The only defense I have is the fact that we are getting work done on the house and things have been hectic!!!! Back on track today B-Slim Fast-Low Carb L-4oz of pulled pork & 1 tablespoon of coleslaw Doing good on the water I have to work late, so the Y is out today. Going Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday....

I did pretty good yesterday B-Low carb Slim fast L-1/2 serving ofCouliflower with cheese & 2 steak ums with cheese and a little onions and mushrooms D-1/2 Grilled southwestern salad from chick fil a. I added 1/2 of the tortilla strips took out the corn and blackbean salsa, tomatoes, carrots, and purple cabbage, had the ranch dressing I had 23-25 grams of carbs.... Went to the Y too.....

Ok...Low Carbers does anyone worry about fat? My calories, carbs and Proteins are where they need to be....but my fat is a little high. Should I be concerned. Is there a range where fat should be.... I had cauliflower with cheese sauce and a steak and cheese sandwich(2 steak ums) with cheese...no bread. Everything is OK with this meal as far as carb, calories, and Protein goes....just wondering about that fat? Let me know your thoughs!!! Thanks!

LOL!!! I know!!! What's the skinny lattees all about. I have seen them advertise, but I have never tried one, are they low in carbs? I sure hope so...If not....it'll be just a splurge day...BTW!!! Peppermint white chocolate Mochas are my favorites!!!! LOL!!!

Ok I did a little better today... B-Slim Fast Low Carb Shake L-6 Wings 1/2 container of Ranch D-2 Wings & 2 small porkchops less than 3oz before cooking 60oz of water so far:thumbup: I went to the Y on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Burned 276 calories... Now I gotta fit in some veggies. What are good low carb veggies???

Question...Are hot wings low in carbs.....I check everything on mydailyplate and some wings have a lot of carbs...some have none. If there is no breading on the wings, should carbs be an issue????
