On Q Ball Removal.. Did It Hurt?
wildoatslady replied to megannadine's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I would have left mine in a little longer too, I had a hernia repair & they had it right between & below my breasts. They told me to take it out the day after I got home, but it was not empty, and I had more pain with the hernia repair than the VSG! -

There was a lady at the seminar that had the lap and was miserable & she was going for a revision to the sleeve, just from her story I ruled out the band. Dr Weiss explained the difference with the sleeve you don't have malabsorbsion issues less chance of dumping and you still have a fully functioning stomach, just smaller. You can still have tests done normally( upper GI) less restrictions on medications.

I am also going to dr weiss. I am having my surgery at central baptist in Lexington. I was going for the band until i went to the seminar, and after hearing about the sleeve I knew it was right for me. I have about 4 more weeks till I get a surgery date. Good luck and fast recovery!

Endo Question - Sedation?
wildoatslady replied to Soon2BMiniMommy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine on the 19th. At Central Baptist by Dr. Weiss in Lexington KY. All i remember is getting the oxygen in my nose& I was gone! I woke up easy and wasnt groggy at all. My throat wasn't sore. My MIL drove me, and we went shopping, lunch & I had my NUT appt 3 hrs later. Not sure what they used, but it was wonderful. -
I am on anti depressant after the birth of my boys. It usually hits me 6 months after I give birth(I have 2 boys). I was ready to wean off of them when I started this process and my Dr. Said just to stay on them for a while longer to help with the roller coaster ride the first few months after surgery. I would find another dr.
