Can you take FMLA unpaid? That's what I am doing, I only have 4 days PTO available so I will be unpaid for 2 weeks before my short term disability kicks in. Don't wait, so many things can change with insurance!!

MissBliss I called my insurance not the Dr's office - and trust me two different departments at insurance do the work (I work for them). My Dr's office scheduler actually said "I love you BCBS employees, you are on top of it!!"

OMG me too! Although I have a week to go! I never thought of pureeing any of it though! I have just been cooking for my family alot. Lasagna is in the oven now - I can't wait to do a ricotta bake for me after surgery! So are you freezing stuff? I can't have soft for 7-10 days after then I am pretty limited, eggs, chopped chicken, tuna and fish. But wow does that all sound good right about now!! -
daily and YES! I called the day after it was sent, they routed for review and I called the next day and got my approval!! If i had waited for the letter I would still be waiting - 2 + weeks later! My surgery is in a week!
