How To Choose The Right Agency To Source Gastric Sleeve Surgery In Mexico?
Carrie T replied to 5DogMa's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I'm using Christi at Successfully Slimmer as well. She has been very helpful and quick to answer any question I might have. There was a $500 deposit and I am going to Dr. Kelly. -
I'm going to Dr. Kelly on Jan.3. Keep me posted if your date moves up!

gaining weight to qualify for surgery?
Carrie T replied to Sassygirl06's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The insurance company's make it this way! My BCBS group told me to qualify that I had to stay at 40 bmi during the entire 6 month monitored exercise/diet plan. I have been at 38-39 for the past 5+ years. Instead of gaining 15 pounds and keeping it on for a half a year, I'm going to Mexico!!! No fuss, No red tape, no hassles. -
Gummies all the way!!! I also found a great liquid calcium supplement too...and everything is from Walmart. Vitamins have always made me nauseous, but the regiment hasn't made me feel sick once

I have my surgery scheduled for Jan. 3...and I am so excited! I have been on my WLS surgery journey for over a year now and know that this is the smartest way to go. I intitally was going for the lapband and through my insurance, but after seminars, consultations and tons of online research I knew that the VSG was the best WLS out there. And, as you pointed out...they have so much more experience performing VSG in Mexico than, al least the Dr.s here in Northern California. The Dr.'s here have a ton of experience with RNY and the lapband, but not as much with VSG. I hope that you can get through to your husband...m,aybe he can go along with you and enjoy the nice hotel stay When is your surgery scheduled? -

I had to plant the seed with my husband awhile ago. He was terrified at the thought of a 'Mexican Surgery'. Every once in awhile I would send him links to this forum and the obesityhelp forum so that he would have resources. I also had to leverage the fact that he knows that I would never take any scary risks that would harm myself and that I'm a helluva researcher. I know my stuff!!! Now my husband has totally signed off on it and I'm even going by myself while he stays at home to watch the kids. Good Luck! Carrie -
Well Samantha...you are in luck! A very yummy Holiday Drink @ 100 calories is coming on November 1!!!

I am 3 months out from my surgery, but am already feeling anxious about all the vitamins that we need to take. Currently, anytime I take a multi vitamin it has to be with a meal or I will get sick to my stomach. Any recommendations on how I can take all of these vitamins when I'm supposed to be on basically a liquid diet for 2-4 weeks post op? Thanks for any advice you might have!

how about soy chai as an alternative to skinny lattes? Not really your best bet... For a 12 oz tall- Skinny latte 90 cal, 14g carbs, 9g Protein Soy Chai 170 cal, 35g carbs, 4g protein And if you don't want the caffeine, you can always get decaf lattes. If you don't like the espresso in lattes, you can also get a 'steamer'. It's the steamed milk and syrup. I hope that helps!

Hey there Lisa.. I work for Starbucks and there are a ton of options. For everyday you can get 'skinny' lattes...they are sugarfree hazelnut, cinnamon or vanilla syrups with espresso, nonfat milk and no whipped cream. And, it's VERY TOP SECRET...but when holiday launches there will be something very yummy and very 'Christmas' that will totally fit your need...I promise! In the meantime...the baristas can totally customize something for you...just always stay away from whipped cream
