  2. Happy 42nd Birthday lisa123!

  3. I live on Muscle Milk Light pre-mixed shakes for a good portion of my diet (sometimes 2-3 bottles in a day) and the company has stopped making the original vanilla and also Cafe Latte. You can still get chocolate but not my favorite flavor. I have lost 45 pounds since Oct 15 and feel great (but still want to lose another 50 or so) but am so worried about what I'm going to do since I'm not a fan of the powdered shakes. Does anyone have a suggestion for a premixed brand that I can try? I love the convenience of the bottles...Thanks
  4. Does anyone know what types of over the counter meds we should stay away from? I have a wicked headache but always reluctant to take anything. I have no problems swallowing pills. Should we stay away from Ibuprofen? Thanks! Hope you are all doing well with your journey....
  5. Hi, Has anyone every used protein shots to get their daily protein in? Do you know any that are tasty but also low in calorie? I am having a heck of a time getting all my daily needs in. I'm finding myself extremely tired and zapped of energy. I had my surgery Oct 19th and have lost about 35 pounds which I think is fairly decent but wish it was more. I just worry if I add so many more calories I will be going over my 1100 I try to stick to. I swim 3-4 times per week for 45 minutes and definitely see my body taking more shape and my endurance improving daily but I am not starving during meals or need to have any sort of snack. I'm finding that I'm very very tight in the morning so do a muscle milk lite each morning, lunch is never big and then a slightly larger dinner- fish, chicken. Any suggestions on more energy. Thanks
  6. Had my band done on Oct 17 and have lost a total of 25 pounds but haven't lost in a while. I have been swimming for 45 minutes 3-4 times (started at 20 minutes) per day for the last 3 weeks and have so much more energy. My clothing has been getting bigger by the day but the scale is staying the same weight and I'm frustrated. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Going in for my second fill tomorrow have little to no restrictions...When does the scale catch up with the loose clothing? I know I way myself too much but it's a way to keep me in check...
  7. I got it the day of my surgery- right after I had my first pee- wasn't expecting it for a couple of weeks and I'm always like clockwork.
  8. At this point I'm still on a liquid diet for at least another 5-6 days but I'm really feeling hungry every couple of hours. Is this a good sign that things are healing well and should I been increasing my protein shakes to one every couple of hours depending on hunger or should I stick to one every breakfast, lunch and dinner? I don't want to overdo it but I really feel that I'm ready to move onto the mushie stage. I haven't had any issues swallowing and had very minimal pain after surgery. Thanks for your thoughts!
  9. I'm on day four post surgery and I can't tell if I'm having hunger pains and/or gas in my stomach or I'm still feeling the effects of the surgery. It comes and goes. Still having pain in my neck so hopefully that will go away soon...
  10. Hi all! Hope you all are doing well on your journey. I have pretty good contol right now with some eating desires but concerned I'm not consuming enough during the day. I had my surgery on Monday so only three days out and only drinking very minimal water, two 100 calorie protien shakes and drank a regular snapple today because I felt so shaky. What were you guys eating during the first ten day post op period. When did you start getting your appetite back? My husband is eating yummy Indian right now and I have no desire. Thanks for your help!
  11. Hope your surgery went well and you are at home healing. I couldn't figure out the ticker either :)

  12. Hi all, Had my surgery today and feeling really good minus a bit of pain getting in and out of bed. Just wondering how many incisions you all have. I was only given 2 so I assuming that is a great thing and will make my healing process much faster. Anyone else only have two? I was the first surgery of the day with my doctor and he had 5 more after me so unfortunately I didn't get to speak to him about it. The nurses said I did great. Can't wait!
  13. Surgery was a huge success and only needed two insissions but the gas pains are brutal. Hope to get relief soon!

This is a big concern fo rme. I'm having my surgery tomorrow and wonder what I will be feeling week too. Great weight loss for you! Hope I'm as successful as you. Have you tried adding some added Protein powder- maybe some sort of unflavored stuff that you could add to your liquids? Best of luck!
  15. Btw, surgery is tomorrow morning- heading to hospital at 6:30 and surgery is 8am- first patient so I'm assuming I will be home by noon. Can't wait but nervous that I'm not prepared enough. Also worried about getting enough Protein, doing the right thing, etc.
