Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!
Lapbandster replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I HATE these high carb days!!! :( They're so much harder for me than the low carb days because I really let myself go. Also by the low carb days I have a very clear idea of what I CAN'T eat, so it's way easier for me to make good choices. so far today I ate 912 calories 91g carbs And I still have a wedding to go to, so i'll be lucky if I'll keep my calories below ~1200. I usually like to keep 'em below 1000.... -

Help. I Fell Off The Exercise Wagon
Lapbandster replied to sommers4977's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Missy really hit it on the head! But also, just to add: It might help you to listen to really motivation music while you workout. For me I absolutely cannot workout without thumping music. I'm simply too lathargic. or if your going on the treadmill and find it tedious try watching a video, to take your mind off of it... -

How Much Did You Lose In Your First Month?
Lapbandster replied to bandedsandi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doc said a loss of 1-2 lbs per week for the first year is very good. When I hit a plateau recently I tried carb cycling and lost a few lbs that week. I guess the change of routine has been helpful to me Good luck -

Seems Like Life Revolves Around Exercising And Food
Lapbandster replied to 2justme's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I also can't stand that my day revolves around the gym, so I have started going really early (anywhere from 6-8AM) and I "get it out of the way". Once i know I hit the gym, I don't think about it again. Also, it helps me start my day right with a burst of energy. I was never a morning person, but I have recently been going to sleep no later then 10pm. I wake up feeling refreshed for the gym. Its a new routine/lifestyle but i'm feeling good about it -

Awww thanks!!! Hugs right back atcha!! Can't wait to hear about your losses when you get on the scale! -
How awful!! I'm sorry about your experience!! Tell your surgeon...!! Also, maybe try switching up your routine. Example: if you usually use certain machines at the gym, try out others. Or if u usually have 3 meals try having 5 small meals etc. Sometimes when we change out routine a little bit, our bodies snap back into weight loss mode, and stop plateauing. I am currently carb cycling and am so far (knock on wood!!) out of my plateau and am losing. This may work for you, too

My doc has absolutely no issues with carbonated drinks. Since being banded I have tried to cut out soda whenever I can. Soda makes me feel burpier than i used to feel after drinking it, but no bad reactions to it other than that.
