Does your brain have to catch up with your band?

Great topic! Until i started wearing clothes that fit I didnt notice a thing Then one day I jokingly tried on my sisters size 14 skirt and it actually fit!! was a bit tight but was wearable.... Now that I'm wearing smaller sizes it's definitely beginning to show. Sometimes I look in the mirror discouraged at mow much more I need to lose and that really sucks, but i guess this is all part of the journey, the ups and the downs

    Getting rebanded after constant malfunction

I'm proud that you're not giving up, despite the band setbacks The newer bands have been greatly improved so I really think you'll have much less issues!
  5. Love Mis73 and Dee's answers Lap band surgery (and any other form of weight loss surgery really) is a LAST RESORT. I did it because i'm 23 and could not lose the weight EVER and I had tried for 10 years. I've been overweight my whole life and could no longer go on like this. If you can find any other (less drastic) way, then do that And to add to Missy's point: DO NOT base your decision on what you see on YouTube. there is lots of misinformation about the risks and complications, and everyone has their own agendas GOOD LUCK with your decision!!

What About Our Fat Friends And Relatives

I will NEVER go over to someone and tell them to lose weight/have wls//or ever bring up their weight for that matter. Its so cruel, and people are sensitive. IF SOMEONE COMES AND ASKS ME , then I would discuss dieting and if I'm close enough with them to trust them then i'll tell them about my lapband. When I was at my highest (and still now), even if someone has the best intentions it makes me extremely uncomfortable when they bring up my weight

How Does It Feel To Be "stuck"?

AGREED!! When i'm starved I eat too fast and get uncomfortable. Usually in the mornings when I am tight. This doesn't mean you should graze all day to stave off the hunger pains, just be realistic with meals and make sure they're Protein based so that they keep you filled for longer.

Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!

uchhh terrible day!! 1229 calories, not enough protein and probably not even enough carbs for the cycling to work

Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!

On the low carb days all I eat are foods filled with protein!! Turkey, eggs, chicken etc i wish i could drink those protein shots everyone talks about but I can't find 'em anywhere
