  1. I'll be two weeks out tomorrow. My cheating is that I ate a plain, no fat Greek yogurt yesterday morning and I tried a little bite of the tofu pumpkin bake I made yesterday to eat when I transition to soft foods officially tomorrow. The original food list I had for week two included Greek yogurt but a revised list indicated liquid yogurt. I made sure to drink with the yogurt and it all went fine. No nachos or popcorn for me!
  2. I'm getting ready to start two weeks of soft foods and was trying to come up with something that sounded good. This turned out pretty good IMO. I'm used to tofu and I really like pumpkin. 16oz can pumpkin (plain pumpkin- not pie filling) 1 box Morinu extra firm tofu, Water poured out 2 eggs 6 packets Splenda 2-3 tablespoons molasses 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice couple pinches salt Blend all ingredients until totally smoothe in cuisenart or blender. spray 8x8 baking dish with spray oil and add pumpkin purée. Bake at 325 F in a water bath for 70 minutes, turn off oven and let it cool in the oven. Refridgerate. Based on six servings there are: 90.1 calories, 4g Protein, 11.1g carbs, 7.1g sugar, 6g fat (per serving)

    Keeping Food Down

I'm so glad to see you posting peacequeen! I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time. You are often in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't had anything like pudding yet. I've added some thicker pureed soups and have had yasso brand greek frozen yogurt bars from Costco. So far, everything seems to go right down. If I drink too fast I get a sort of stuck feeling and then I can kind of sense that its draining through but that happens pretty fast. I know if I slouch things move through slower too. Big hugs to you!!! I'm rooting for you-
  9. Hi Pookyism, He had me take wellbutrin. It's an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety drug they give to smokers who are trying to quit. It worked well for a few months but then my body/brain just adjusted and it quit working. I was on a super low dose and didn't want to take more either. I have a tall string-bean PCP who doesn't "believe" in WLS. I live in a small town and he's supposedly one of the "best" doctors in town.

Are You Happy With Your Choice?

I'm sooo happy with my sleeve. I have three close family members who have had GBS and they are all happy with their path as well. I'd never heard about the sleeve until I attended my first WLS talk back in summer 2010 and I knew immediately that was for me. I worried about the malabsortive issues and just didn't like the idea of re-routing things that have to do with my GI. Having a smaller stomach is all I wanted!
  18. So very sorry to hear about your mother. May fond memories help you and your family through.
  19. I had the hernia repair but no trouble swallowing.

    Sleeve Size

wow, all I know was he planned on removing 85%. My friend who was with me about fell off her chair when she heard that!
  21. I wish I'd done it a year ago like I wanted (darned PCP and his drugs to try first) and I have way too many popsicles and don't like to give my son things with artificial sweeteners.

    I Am Sleeved!

Congrats and I second that your pre-op weight loss was fantastic! Amazing job sticking that out for so long!!
  24. One of my little sections of steri strips finally came off and there was no stitch! This is one of the camera incisions, not the larger ones. Am I held all together with glue? I haven't had any wound seepage or bleeding at all. I like my surgeon more and more every day! How many stitches did you have? Do you remember?
