I first had an appointment with my surgeon on aug. 19th. I did everything required of me and on Sept 7 th my paperwork ws submitted to insurance. By Sept 12 I had approval and the surgeon's office wanted to schedule me for surgery on Sept 19th (which would have been 1 month exactly from my first appointment). However at the time I was diagnosed with H pylori (a stomach bacteria) and I was taking some antibiotics to treat it. So they rescheduled me for surgery. I had my surgery 2 days ago on Oct 3rd. So for me it was about 7 weeks give or take....

Hi! I'm getting done today too! @ 7:30 am. I am a little nervous but I know I need to do this...Everything is in place and all i need to do is take this step to start my journey... good luck to you and everyone else who is having their band today! WE CAN DO THIS AND WE WILL SUCCEED!

Its the same with me. My day is also Oct 3rd and the surgeon didnt put me on a pre op diet..however I have a 3 week long liquid diet post op.... I thought it was strange too..since I see everyone else having to go through the diet...hmm
