I was sleeved on September 27th. Dr. Harrison was my surgeon. He was kind, listened to my concerns and is tracking my post op issues. I'm about 25lbs down. I have about 120lbs to loose total. I'm anemic, so I'm struggling with the affects surgery had on that. I was able to start taking my iron pills last week though I'm still waiting to feel better. I'm also having acid reflux issues, which I've never had before. I've had several people tell me different things about both issues. The advise that's helped the most has been, "give it time cause in a few months things start to feel normal and the excitement of the weight loss kicks in." My doc said he makes the sleeve very small because it will stretch. I'm guessing, aside from swelling, that's the reason for food feeling like it's sitting in my throat. This is also the first time I've had surgery and the doc used glue for the incisions, no sewing. I'm very impressed with how they've healed. Very thin and clean. My husband is a wonderful support and my kids think it will be funny having a skinny mom, (me too.)
