Did You All Know About
azquilter92 replied to kmbrlycool's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
HCG is a hormone that is injecTed into your stomach, this along with a very low calorie diet helps you lose weight pretty fast, but we are talking 500 calorie diet onlu 4 Oz of protein per day and a very strict select foods you are allowed to eat. My surgeon just told us at our support group -
Every Dr is different, and you should follow their instructions. My Dr didnt require a 2 week pre op diet,I ate regular food untl the day before surgery,I did do 2 Weeks post op of liquids, but then again I was never hungry and I did fine on the liquids, all im saying is do as your Dr says, but ask him can I do this or can I do that.you really should do this cuz you dont want to end up in the hospital

He is A bariatric Nurse practioner.Everyone is welcome and most of the time there is a free Zumba class for the last 30 min

Crazy Vsg Questions
azquilter92 replied to DeterminedGirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
when i started this journey i wieghed at my heaviest (that I know of ) at 353lbs and i am 5ft 1. To have this surgery you do have have a lot of steps to follow thru on.Its not like you wake up one morning and say i want this surgery and a doctor says okay lets do it tomorrow! doesnt work that way, they want to be sure that you are mentally ready for this challenge. But i have never regretted one minute of it. i was always tired,my joints hurt, had no energy. and to tell the truth the pounds have come off rather easily..I am at no restrictions in what i can have to eat,but i always try to make sure i get the right amount of protien and liquids everyday.almost an obsession.I really dont want my hair to fall out,i was sleeved on March 20th and have noticied very little hair loss. I make sure i take all my supplements everyday.Would I do it again ABSOLUTELY! wish i had done it sooner -
woohoo!!!

My surgeon said that some ins might cover the TT if the loose skin was causing skin infections, but it depends on the ins of course. But its definitely worth looking into.cuz I plan on needing alot!!!
-

When you have surgey done in Mexico,do you have to have your psyc evaluation or visit with a nutritionist? I dont know thats why I ask. I tbink they are both very helpful in recognizing why we eat they way we do.see if you can find support group in your area and go,listen to people who have had tbe surgeries and ask questions -
