I evaluated surgery a couple years ago and was recommended lap band surgery. Something about the lap band and the surgery itself kept me from pursuing it at that time. This time around, I was convinced that I want to pursue a surgical option and the doctor I spoke to recommended that we go with the gastric sleeve. I am scheduled for surgery in two days and am looking forward to sharing my journey and reading and interacting with others who have gone down a similar path.
